Crossover post with my Skate Shit You Bought Recently post. This is the second of these Real decks with the weird slider ridges to break super quick. Skateboards break though

Krooked 8.06
ACE 33’s with Riptides
52 mm classics
Bones Super Swiss 6

Vans Era pros
[close]

How are you liking your 33s?
I have a problem where I tend to like everyone else’s board instead of my own. For the first time in a long time my setup feels like it’s actually mine and everything is how I want it. The trucks are a big part of that. I like having a baseplate that makes contact on nose and tailslides. The height compared to 03’s helps with flip tricks. They feel as good on transition as they do skating street. The only negative thing I’d say is that they’re not as loose as the lows were. I wish I would’ve given them a chance years ago

Dude. I’m the creep that is always trying to step on the homies setup, and I’ll kickflip it all relaxed and then go back to struggling on my own pos. Every time. I’ve gotten so far away from what should work for me from doing this, and it’s probably how I went away from 33s when they working for me in the distant past. I’ve got 44s....and it’s just that above 8” trucks I cannot do much.
33s also look the best.
Thanks for the reply, hyped you found what works!

setup 2:
Girl G026 8.125" x 31.625" 14" WB
V-light 5.2 hi (black friday purchase)
~51mm ish F4 classics
bones reds
1" allen
mob

2 rad set ups.
Which do you like better?
I’m interested in hearing what you think about the girl board. When they are good they are good, and I really enjoy the dimensions they offer.

I've enjoyed the egg shaped board a lot. thunders are what I grew up skating on so it always feels like home. I've had 5.8 ventures in the past and those are too beast for me haha, but I loved how nose/tailslides feel on ventures in comparison to thunders. I've always loved girl shapes and I've yet to try their new wood so that'll be interesting

how's the shape of the 8.75" AH? Top view?

I’ve got the same deck, on the way, from a Black Friday purchase.  Currently riding a Krooked “Team Eyes” 8.75”.

I used to ride the 8.5” full shape from Deluxe but they’ve taken those out of their lineup.

I may stay with the 8.75” until they stop making them.

I’m on the same current Krooked eyes 8.75, but just found my fave TKF 8.75 shape again; the Krooked Nose/tail are a touch long for my taste but still a dope shape that’s more readily available than my preferred stumpier TKF shape. Sorry, currently intoxicated

Got the 14.62” wb and little to no taper.  It’s close to the full shapes.  I dig it.

Just a heads up that I've seen this listed places as the full shape w/ 14.75wb but it's actually the standard AH w/ 14.625 WB

Baker Rowan 8.125 x 31.875 - 14.25 WB
Indy 146 Stage VII, Bones bushings, Krux downlow
Bones Filmers 54mm 80a
Bones Big Balls

never skated a baker OG mellow. will see how it goes!

rolled a bit in front of the house on the baker with the indy stage VIIs. not sure if it was the mellow tail on the baker, but the pop was off.
decided to try the tensor mag lights, found a decent price on ebay for a lightly used pair....

Baker Rowan 8.125 x 31.875 - 14.25 WB
Tensor 5.5 Mag Lights, Bones bushings, soft front/med back, flat washers top + bottom, nuts flush
Spitfire F4 Classics 52mm/99a
Bones Big Balls - Mob Grip - Indy 1" combi bolts

after a quick session at the park, already feels MUCH better!
taking it for another spin today....

I usually ride Generator decks but I miss ps boards and it’s very snappy light pop with my ventures and it’s shaped the nose is mellow and slightly pointed and the tail is long and super round and steeper I really like it I will post pics of the top of the deck today

That Rowan Baker looks terrible to me shape-wise. So pointy and unsettling to look at... graphic is cool though! I guess it's just not my cup of tea. Hope it skates well though!

Thinking about setting this Cole Zero up but not sure yet. Current Primitive still has some life in it.

@funeral_tuxedo
thanks! yeah, i love stage VIIs on antiheros/krookeds/darkrooms. I like a steeper tail, and go with I or II deck stamps.
wasn't feeling the indys on this baker. but the tensors are better.

@DarkPools
never tried a baker OG mellow shape before, so giving it a shot. definitely more tapered nose/tail than what i've been riding lately. will see how it goes, not too bad so far after switching trucks. but will probably go back to darkroom + indys next.

Threw some old parts on this muska I got yesterday for maybe flatground

7.75 deck
Seasons x spitfire 53 classics
Forged hollow baseplate and regular 5.2 hangar, not sure how I feel about the gold but it’s all I had forged since the wheels are a little bigger than I wanted

So my quiver is now a 7.75 a 8.1 and a 8.6
