I've had them and besides the insole being trash it is a great shoe. Really thin and flexible cupsole.

I was only able to skate the twin tail for about 45 minutes because it's so damn hot out but it felt good so far. It really does feel like you can skate whatever side without paying attention to which end is which, so that's cool. Super steep concave, a "I" in real's concave scale. Took me a second to get used to it but I like steep concave so it felt good after a while. I still need to see how they feel with nose/tailslides and a few other tricks to really have a good idea of how they skate tho.  I'll post more later

As far as the Accel Slim Mids, they're solid. Pretty thin in the heel & collar area, especially coming from a dunk mid, and the stock ortholite isn't gonna save your knees from anything but they're perfect for using aftermarket insoles. I've been using FP Custom Orthotics in them and the cushioning is good while still having a lot of boardfeel due to the slim, flexible sole. Durability is good but nothing awe-inspiring. Honestly I feel like they're a decent shoe that's a few details away from being great (tongue straps & more padding in the collar), but they're definitely solid for the type to shoe they are. Can't be mad if you get em on sale

I have a set of modus blacks (the cheapest ones) on a cruiser setup. All I can say is that they're smooth and silent.
They make use of grease as a lubricant rather than oil. Can anyone explain the benefits?

I believe grease will just last as a lubricant longer than oil. In certain applications it also kind of forms a barrier around the outside to protect from dirt and shit getting to the balls of the bearing.

I had a pair of those in 2010 and they still had that memory foam cons first used when they came into the skateboarding world. really good shoes they still make. i dont see a lotta people wearing em but they've always had em in their catalogs.

Thank you all very much for the welcome back. I was in a pretty messed up situation for awhile, so it feels really really great to be able to skate again. It's been a bit of a struggle to get back, but I've been feeling physically pretty decent after a couple weeks on the board. I gotta say, seeing the greetings from ya'll is 100% motivating and very much appreciated.

fulfillthedream- Yeah pro leathers are a dope shoe and super underrated as far style and functionality go. These ones are from about 2 years ago I think. They have the Lunarlon insole that is thicker and seems to have more support in the arch area than the current Lunarlons that come with Cons.

Sup gods, just set up a new bizza pretty stoked on having a skinnier board with more concave. I usually skate 8s but I got the Foundation board as a birthday present from a friend and that was an 8.25 with a pretty mellow concave. I would still definitely recommend a Foundation board, lasted a long time and had a long lasting pop all along.

I was out there visiting a friend. Great city, no love for ledges there it seems though. Half the marble ledges at the skatepark weren't even waxed and all those perfect stone plantar ledges along the South Michigan ave looked unskated! Wish I hadn't rolled my ankle the second day I was there cause it was torture walking around seeing so many perfect spots.
