After 1 and an half month of illness and rain I've been noticing that my anti hero 8.25 is really really really steep, nose, tail, and the wb at 14.375 is too big... I've been thinking hotel blue or gx1000 what do you guys think? Are these two mellower?

Real - Ishod Wair - 8.12 x 31.38 - 14wb
Thunder Team 147's
Spitfire F4 Classic Slim's 52mm 99a
Bronson G3's
Shorty's Lights 7/8 allen
Mob Grip

eS' SLB 97s

How are you liking that shape? I've been wanting to try it but I'm a little worried I'd find the kicks too short. I do love a 14" wb though and they're rare among DLX decks.

Ok

Glad you are feeling better. I don’t know if those boards are mellow, I’m also looking for flat boards, but I can say that the less I skate, the more I trip on my setup.

Funny I actually just setup a fresh Toy deck I had lying around. The Polar I got around Christmas was much too steep for me. Kind of bummed because I like the company a lot, oh well back to comfy old flat Toy Machine decks  ???

Was it a pro board? I'm pretty sure they do different concaves depending on that. I have an 8.5 Hjalte deck that I don't use because the concave is pretty steep, but my friend had an 8.5 Polar (forgot whose) that was pretty flat and had a different shape. Both were popsicles too.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

It was a 7.875 Oski deck, nose and tail are also super steep and kind of long. I put rails on it so I'm just gonna use it as a cruiser, at least it's getting used but yeah very weird feeling haha

Dawg, you have been on one lately. Just seeing these setups makes me want to skate.

How is it riding those wheels? I love small wheels but after a pretty wild injury while skating 48s I ended up going up to 53s like 10 years ago. Just copped a set of 51mm F4s and am going to try and size down.

Ok

Girl and Chocolate had the best shapes forever, forever ago. I tried one 2-3 years ago, the dimensions were cool, warped instantly, was dead. Time for another shot I guess. Plus they have a smaller size. Thanks for the recommendation.

My 8,5 Hotel Blue is pretty steep with a rather deep concave. Read they’ve switched wood since so can’t say much about their newer releases.

You’re giving me the same anxiety I had in middle school with this one. The early 90s were terrible, why are you fetishizing them?

How is the concave and how steep is the tail on the P2? Are the 149’s perfect, or could you go up or down in truck size? Had it in my shopping cart for weeks but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

concave is not too deep, big squared nose ,long board(the one i like).149 are perfect fit.

These old skool boards not very practical especially the old bolt pattern with bolts sticking out everywhere but it is fun as a novelty to rip them around sometimes! Respect to those people who went through that crazy time haha.

the 42mm wheels are very slow but rolls faster than you think. They require alot of strength to ride smooth. Fun wheels for flipping and doing ledge dancing.

I stood on a couple at my local to check the concave and they seemed on the mellower side, same with the kick and nose.

Spit 52mm
Bronson G3 and some bones 6balls on ice
Diamond wares
Jessup

Enjoying the choco more than i thought i would, couple of sessions in and it's bloody good. Originally was supposed to be a wall board but the wife doesn't like. Wood seems better than i got from the slap forums. Seriously happy. Got a few BB backup boards but seems like they gonna wait longer than we had in mind

The new Girl/ Choco wood feels great initially but in my experience it just mushes out pretty quick. I hope this isn't the always the case and it stays snappy and responsive for you.
