Anyone skate the Creature 8.6 shape that most Milton and Baekkel boards come in? The dimensions are tempting me bad. Especially the short tail and a bit longer wheelbase. I don't need any new boards for a while though.  :-X

I skated the J Lee and it was the first board I ever broke. I really wish they would remake it with modern concave and a bigger nose. Other than that dug the shape.

That's pretty much the Dane1 shape.
Well, looks like I'm gonna have to pick it up

Ace 44
Spitfire F4 53mm 101 Classics
Bones Big Balls

I jumped on the bandwagon and tried some Aces. So far they feel pretty good. Not sure I'm a full Indy convert yet but I like em.

Edit: ^hmmmokay, those are some nice trucks, wheels, and bearings btw

Since you're actually gonna put money down, I compared the Dane1 I have set up with the Dodo Skull reissue I have. I originally bought the Lee deck to skate but decided I might be bummed later when they weren't abundant anymore. I guess it's a wall board if I ever move into a place that's not a hellpit. Anyway here are the differences:

Dodo Skull 9.625x31.8 w/14wb

Dane1 9.75x31.375 w/14.125wb

The shapes are really damned close but the Polar has lots more concave. The Lee nose is bigger by maybe a quarter inch and the tail is slightly wider but both kicks are a lot flatter. They're still really close and I've always suspected the Dane was based on the Lee and still do after looking at them again. Maybe the smaller nose is bad news but it feels like plenty of nose for a 91 shape so the steepness helps.

I'll see if I can find it in a shop and look at it to get an idea

My Grimple Hsu measures 8.4375”

I’m running 149s and conicals and they’re tucked in a touch. 159s with a thin wheel like the classic would be choice.
