This is a great looking setup.  Nice graphic and really nice proportions between deck and truck width and wheel size.  Looks like fun!

Wide nose and tail.  No taper.  Like the full shapes that Deluxe does.  My favorite shapes.

Nose is 7”
Tail is 6.625”

The color of the swirls and the look of the size from the picture suggest that those are 54mm classics not 52mm. It doesn't matter but can you confirm or deny this? My OCD thanks you in advance.

Fuck, man, you’re right.  And now my OCD is set off because everyone who quoted me has 52 in their quote.  I’m going to go bang my hand with a hammer 54 times.

I’m definitely liking the bigger wheel better on this.

 I don’t know why I typed 52.  I rode 52 for years.

I’d like to retract my earlier comment regarding the proportions of this setup.  I now find it grotesque and repulsive.

No need for self harm. Just ride them down to 52mm and color the swirls green with a marker and we'll call it even.

Pendleton has such a beautiful art style.
That's the kind of board that makes you feel bad if you put stickers on it.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

That's a sexy board.

I love all white nose or tails. Nothing more satisfying than the first slide on a black waxed curb and it gets that lovely black slide mark.

Hockey 8.375
Venture 5.8s
56mm 99a conical fulls
Mob, Shorty's, and a lil 1/8th riser
Alexis One Stars

I haven't really ever skated anything under 8.5, gotta pay attention to where I'm placing these cons.

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Thanks dude. I was a little worried about it turtle-ing with the tapered tail and how wide the wheels are, but it lines up just right.

Polar Boserio - Dane 1 shape
Indy 159
F4 53 101
Bones Swiss 6

Only got to spend a few minutes riding as spent most of my time chasing my 2 year old today but the short wheel base is fun so far, just need to get used to it.

That's up there with one of the best looking decks I've seen on here.

I dunno if it's the subliminal messaging in the curb too but really want to skate.

Well I snapped my last deck after 2 sessions. Before that I tried an 8.25 deck and 5.8 Ventures which felt way bigger than I could handle. Prior to that I rode the same deck for around 4 months (before and during lockdown), only swapping out trucks because I was bored.
I've had 1 setup in recent memory that ticked all the boxes, issue is that the board company (Folklore) is based in Australia ($75 USD before shipping) with irregular dimensions (8 x 32 x 14) plus it had a sheet of carbon fiber. The plan was to load up on a stack whenever I would travel to Australia for work, probably 2-3 times a year. But the pandemic has put a damper on that plan.
[close]

Makes sense. I ask, as I swap stuff fairly regularly as well, which makes consistency difficult. I also circle round to things I previously tried and dismissed, and end up enjoying the same shit, but at a different time. Too much time in between sessions, not enough time skating, too much time on the slap, huge contributors to setup dissatisfaction, for me.
I was the same way for months and I finally found 2 dimensions and truck combos that I will stick with for now on. So much wasted time and money obsessing over setups had me missing out on the whole reason I love skateboarding. ACTUALLY SKATING lol. I get an itch every now and again to change something when I see a new video or add but my progression and recovery is more important.

What was your magic combination? Trucks wise I'm sticking with Ventures, 5.6 or 5.2 (Lo) in standard or V-Hollow. Still undecided if I like a shorter deck and WB (31.6 x 14), in between (31.75 x 14.25) or extreme (32 x 14).
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m
