Polar 8.5"
Ace 55 classic with Riptides
F4 56mm 97a Conical Full (might swap for 54mm 99 Tablets)

First time ever using clear grip. I've mostly used 44 classics with 8.5" boards but I put my 55s on one a little while ago and really liked it.

That’s the best looking polar graphic I’ve seen in years . I loved the tablet wheels, my favorites yet I just go back to classics .

Tablets rule. I love a square-edged wheel, and with the tablets you get some extra hanger exposure. I'm kind of addicted to how fast the 97 CFs are on rough ground though.

Yeah man I have been skating mine for a couple weeks and they're feeling really nice. Getting better and better each session.

I feel like Indys are the perfect wife. I’m almost down to the axle on my forged 144’s back truck and I love them. I also had some forged 139’s before and I have nothing bad to say about them. Just well made trucks that work. I’m super tempted about trying the new Ace’s next but I love how reliable my indy’s feel.
Ace’s are like that mistress that is always in the back of your head. You’re tempted to give it a try but she’s not as trustable. You might have the most fun ever or catch her in bed with your best friend, you never know.  :-[

That's such a great analogy! Indys call you honey, and Aces call you daddy.

im more of a daddy dom that's why i ride ace's

Thanks. It is from an older drop. I’ve just been sitting on this for about a year.

Was all set to grip an 8.3 twin tail ishod, but the wife insisted I keep the butterfly graphic on the wall for a while.  So...

Hockey 8.38
Ace 44 classics
54mm F4 97a classics
reds
mob

Largest setup I've ever had, and man is it steep.  Feels good so far.

How are you liking the Larb Ball deck? I have one ready to set up.

Been off the board(s) for the last two weeks due to various on and off the board injuries so yesterday was my first day back and chose to ride the Madness to try out the ACE AF1s. I'll get to the Larb this week.

Total impulse buy, I've always wanted one but never saw them drop and would miss out; this drop I bit right away (smart too, they sold out everywhere instantly as most shops only had 1 or 2).

Shape-wise I'm loving the tail, jury is out on the nose, I like the shape of it but my preference would be to have it more full/less tapered. That will change once I get to used to skating it. Plus it's the only shape I like out of DSM/NHS and I've decided to only skate their wood exclusively.

Nice. Yea, the shape is what drew me. I've been trying to ride shorter wheelbases (14.25 and smaller) as I am a shorter dude, so I hope this being a 14.5WB doesn't feel off to me.

And I agree, I like Dwindle wood and shapes – to be fair I've only rode Creature – and am curious if the other brands they press/shape feel similar.

I had initially picked up some AF1 55s that I was planning to skate with this deck but when I threw them on my last setup I was pretty disappointed. To me they felt like Ace made an Indy with a better, more Ace-like turn and a worse, more sticky grind.  Even the way they broke in (in terms of looseness) felt more like an Indy than the Aces I have now.  The front pivot cup also started blowing out during the first session too. Same deal. Treated myself to riptides in my 55 classics and I have little interest in skating anything else. Recently revisited my AF1s and 159s and they just did not feel nearly as good.
