Limo 8.38”

Spitfire F4 55mm Classics
Swiss
Pepper
Lil Jawns Rails

how you like the limo? I want to get that same graphic in 8.18. never had one of their boards

I’m really liking it.  Relatively steep concave.  Kicks aren’t quite as squared off as FA/Hockey.  Also the BBS slicks feel really solid.  I had a couple 917 and Polar ones in the past.

Huffer
AF1 66s w/ hollow axle
1/8” risers
F4 OG Classics 55mm
Swiss 6

I’m excited to try the Huffer shape.
Might swap the wheels for larger OG classics.

Nice grip job. It's always pleasure to see a Huffer. It's simply the best board.

I usually ride 8.25 on my street deck, and I have a 10inch cruiser that is super fun, so I wanted to have something in between:

Heroin x French x Mandy 8.88 w/Mob
Venture 6.1 V-Hollow w/bones meds
Bones Big Balls
Powell Dragon’s 54mm
Bronze Allen Hardware 1”
Diamond 1/8 baseplates

Not too sold on the Dragons, definitely got caught by the marketing, but I’ll give them 1 more chance.

Perfect. I think you'll like the mid sized wheels on that. No hollow kingpin on those Af1s?

@DeepSpace9mm give us some updates in the “cult of the huffer” thread. I set mine up initially with those same AF1 66s and ended up sizing down to an 8.5” axle truck

Thanks!

No hollow kingpin on these because they’re a Frankenstein set.

I took these hangers with the hollow axle off a set that had I had warrantied due to loose kingpins and I slapped them on regular AF1 baseplates.

I do wish they were hollow kingpins.
Now I have 2 sets of 66’s though, so that’s cool. One set with hollow axle and kingpin, and this set thats just got the hollow axle.

I recently started pressing and finishing boards at home. I'm coming back from a surgery and haven't really skated one besides rolling around the block, but I've had some good reviews from friends. Just set this up for my return to skating, which is gradually going to start about now.

If you would've told me in 2012 that in 2022 we'd be riding 7.75 shorty's bloards with 48mm wheels I would've laughed and probably said sick but now this looks wonderful like an ideallic setup should.

Thanks dude! I’ve been “awake” for a minute and now I found those 6.1s for half the price so I had to pull the trigger. I just change to bones bushings and they do wonders.
I had a Polar Surf Jr before but kinda hated how small the nose was and how narrow the tail felt… it was like skating a 8 inch deck tbh. So I went digging for an alternative and this deck seemed sweet to pair with the ventures as it has a 14inch WB.
Skated it a bit yesterday and it felt really good. Nice, stable and carvy, good to flip too. I might use it more often then I predicted!

Tactics Blank 8.38
Independent Hollow 149 (no forged baseplate)
Spit lock-ins 57mm
Shorty's lights bolts (remember loving these as a kid lol)
modus titanium bearings (love them so far)
cringe artwork

The tactics blank actually has really good BBS quality. I've had the unfortunate experience with some skate shops that claim to have "generator" or BBS wood and immediately it feels thin, flexy, and overall just not finished like a BBS. This shit is a tank

Just got done with a Tactics 8.38 and it was a treat, I'll wait till BF to stock up on boards with a similar shape / dims.

While that polar setup (and the sci-fi) are certainly quite attractive, 8 is the greatest size. Respectfully.

it's very close, but the tail is a little small to me, especially compared to the nose. Polar P2 though..... That's a great shape.

It’s just a regular 8.5 popsicle. They updated their dims recently so it’s a smaller nose and tail than before. Definitely feels like a totally new shape. Not as much of a full nose and tail.
