cleaver 8.375 x 31.8 x 14.25, square shape, clutch wood probably
venture 5.8 with 90a supercush and flat top washer
spitfire f4 radial 99a 56mm worn down to 53mm
skf skate bearings
pig prime bolts, 7/8 allen
random grip
skate old skools, i got half cabs lined up next

The man himself, Diego Bucchieri was just in the woodshop thread, saying going forward they are all PS Stix (and they have never been on HLC wood) but yeah that might be an older one from Clutch or BBS - should have had info under the front bolt area / round size sticker or something.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

For the past 1.5 months I was skating the FA cherub fight board on the left. It was a great deck, relearned bs tailslides on it. Got it from their huge warehouse sale some months back. Although I could probably get some more mileage out of it, just felt it was time to move on.

Yesterday I set up the Girl blooming deck, Griffin Gass model. G027 shape, 8.25 x 31.75 x 14. After I took the pic I had my first session on it and it feels good. Concave isn't too flat or steep, kicks aren't too pinner or anything. I was concerned the tail would be too small for tailslides but that's not the case. My kickflips weren't as consistent but I've learned to be more forgiving on the first run.

When I buy a deck these days, there's a list of criteria I have - graphic should be cool (preferably light-coloured graphic), should be a pro I like and want to support, company I like, 8-8.25 wide, 31.5-31.75 long, 14-14.125 wb, mellower kicks and concave, not too squarish or pinner, reputable woodshop.

Rest of the setup is: Independent forged hollows 139mm I think, Bones risers 1/8, Riptide pivot cups, minilogo bearings I think, Mob grip, and 53mm dragons which have probably been whittled down to 50 by now.

It all works for me; every street spot is super rough out here, so the wheels do their job. The trucks turn and are light without being flimsy, I do a lot of slappies and they're holding up.

Sorry for the large pic

It's fun for sure. Coming from 8'' popsickle with venture lows so it feels pretty weird.

I had this deck on ice for a while because I broke my elbow on it. I had to put smaller trucks on it to accommodate the increased wheel width, but it’s awesome for cruising now.

My last deck got ran over and snapped in half, so I replaced it with a new There deck. There boards have been treating me really well (pun intended)

8.5 shaped Marbie There
5.6 Bobby Worrest Ventures
54mm "Cory" Duffel Orbs
Bones Reds
Mob
Shorty's hardware
dirty NB 1010s
Cool setup. The marbie shape looks fun, been wanting to try it.

How are you liking the duffel orbs? I got two sets on ice and gonna be switching from f4 spits which have been all I ride. Someone described them as compacted crayons here lol but lmk what you think.

definitely not a bbs board, i could tell by the shape and the finish, clutch it is then. i had another clutch board before and it was very similar in the way it was sanded down at the rails. that one was trash though, hopefully this one will last longer.

The Marbie shape is great. it's one of those shaped boards that pretty much feels like a popsicle, which is why I like it.

These are actually my second set of the same wheels too! I really like the Duffel Orbs but they definitely a step down from F4s. They do get the job done tho, they slide great and overall feel good on most kinds of ground. I skate around as a form of transportation, and my town has some shitty ground here and there, and they do well enough with that. Honestly I just like them cause they're Duffel pro models and pink wheels are hard to find lol

Cool. I figured they’re a mild downgrade because they weren’t that expensive plus not spits. Nice to know they’re skateable tho.  I also bought them because duffel, and I wanted pink wheels.

Stoked on this one

Metal Fred Ball Egg, 9.0
Venture 6.1 w/ flat washers on top
Loophole 53mm Conical 99a
Swiss 6
Pepper Grip
Shorty’s Lights

We’ll see how I like Ventures.
I’ve tried them on other people’s boards before and they felt like… other people’s boards. They were always in small sizes too. Graphics out :)

Was that a China wood or BBS or something else?

I have a China wood of that board, 9 x 33 with 15 wb that was on a ridiculous sale, but the kicks are a bit steeper than I would like (and I am used to the BBS / orange eagle concave) otherwise I would have given it a go too.

Good solid board though!

:)

Never mind, I saw your other post in the sale thread.

I got my element deck and it is chinese wood. What's everyone else's experience been? I was hoping for BBS. The shape is super nice though.

looks dope and also prefer ps. nice. wide boards, wide trucks with smaller wheels…i won’t be seduced, because i know it ends in heartbreak (slightly dinged shins and worm burner rocket flips, but you know), they look good tho, they look good
