Niiiiiice setups, as a fellow size 13 skater the dwindle boards are the TRUTH, no chip, dog or flex. It's a shame that they're doing their companies wrong.

Shit isn't jacuzzi using DSM as well?
I heard Palace is still using them as well. So I'm not tripping.

Will report back on the board. Skated the board for an hr yesterday. Will report back after 10 or so.

Palace is flat at the rails but kicks are steep. Which i actually love. I think all the mellow board lovers problem was that the kicks are too steep. I prefer that. Pop is better if you have a heavy foot and the steep nose helps your flip tricks to not rocket. My only gripe is that my kfs dip too much. But even then is just an adjustment. Flick up instead of straight out.

I got out on a very old (2017) Grant Taylor 8.5 full today to experiment with a longer wheelbase (14.6 ish) and overall length (like 32 and a half with a worn ass tail).

I slapped my 5ply risers, aces, and conical fulls on that old piece of shit and had the best session I've ever had at a nearby concrete park. It changed my entire view on wheelbase, as I was convinced my lil ass needed a short wheelbase to do certain tricks. Ordered the 8.75 eagle from the local, no more short wheelbase for me!

devils advocate but aces are notorious for making long wb work
short wb + aces is a borderline death trap and pop feel is off
much better with ventures or thunder

It depends on the board's length, too, I think. I have Aces on one of my sub 14wb deck that is 32" long and they work great with it.
Still, I think generally they work the best with longer wheelbases.

I've been doing aces on 14-14.25 wb and I've been getting along okay, but I do think a big part of why shit felt so good was that the trucks paired better with the longer board and wheelbase. I did Ollie a euro Gap I've always been afraid of for the first time today on the longer setup and it took very little effort. The best feeling was transition though. Idk if I could part ways with the carvey-ness of aces...
