I’ve been eyeing the 8.75 since it looks nice and kind of mellow and the price won’t bum me out if 8.75 isn’t my thing.
Oh yeah-I’m thinking about sizing up.

Yeah I think if you are average height even it might feel too nimble but I’m short with stubby legs (5’7 and 27” inseam) and the standard dlx 8.5 with the 14.25wb feels long-ish to me. I notice it especially on nollie flips/heels.

That shape looks so great, seems like a fun boat.
Are there any decks shaped like this, but just less wide, for 8.25" trucks?

That nose looks fucking delicious! An actual shaped board that looks really ridable.

What's the width over the rear trucks?

Such a big contrast to most 'shaped' noses (and for the better), I hate narrow noses like this:

Yeah man, the shape looks so good. But 9.5 width sounds hella crazy to me. I also don't like these pointy, narrow noses on shaped decks.

Not sure I could do 159s up front using what I have on hand, that's too much magic carpet for me on that big of a boat.

i’m actually looking at setting up a 9, on 8.75s, probably gonna use wide wheels.

did you ride 169s way back when? i feel like we were all on 157s or whatever, but i was young and didn’t nerd out

8.75 is usually the max I can commit to; I’d nabbed (and recently sold) some 161s that I skated once…

169/161 feels like a very specific commitment I’m not ready to make for regular skating but this board shape is really enticing to me. It’s got a Gonz 3/Label Max/new deal Sargeant shape-vibe but much more usable nose and mellower shape that’s calling to younger me.

Krooked baby beamer
Indie 215
Spitefire og formula classic 60s
Quantums
metal risers
jessup

Kinda wish I had gotten the full size one, the lack of any nose really hampers the trick abilities, but it's still fun.
