This is my third year skating Ventures. They've really changed my skating. I LOVE them. Switched over from Indy and Ace.

Axel'd my first set of 6.1s pretty quickly. I hit the axel in about three months. I skated them for about a year until I switched.

My current set of Venue 6.1s. I've been skating these since April '24 but I've been snowed in much more this year. I haven't skated much since December. I really wanted to grind completely thru the axel and see how far I could get thru the metal on top, however I think my bushings are on the verge of completely disintegrating. I won't switch to new ones once they do, I'll just retire the trucks. I love how large the baseplates are and the grooves they get when you boardslide.

My next set once my current dies. Going with the double barrel Bobby's with the V8 plates. I was lucky to find his debut truck barely grinded on eBay for cheap. The Pulaski and Kostons were brand new from my local shop. Downsizing to 5.8s to see if it improves my pop while keeping a larger grind surface. I'm also excited for the V8 plates. I'll be using the traditional baseplate WB, but the larger and different shaped baseplates are why I got them. With the new loose bushings, I'll be grinding these down till they're completely unskateable.
It's funny how much I love Ventures because I dispised them when I was younger. My first and only prior set of Ventures were Terry Kennedy's pro truck back when they originally came out (blk/teal/pink ones). The kingpin nut didn't lock, and they fell apart 20 ft from my house on the first skate and the hanger went into the drain. I'm glad DLX is now in charge.
