Has anyone here had the newer Dickies Skate pants? I've seen a few people out with the "slim" pant but they're not particularly slim at all. Kind of a nice loose fit. Probably not baggy by a lot of this thread's standards but I think they look nice.

Is the sizing similar in Dickies 874 flex and regular?

That's what I'd like to know. The few times I've seen them in the wild they looked quite similar. Maybe a TAD smaller in the leg opening but nothing a size up couldn't fix.

Reason I ask is because their older skate line was a little thinner and more breathable in the summer than standard Dickies. Those were also a little slimmer than I prefer, but I've seen that they updated their skate line this year and I'd like some thinner chinos for these humid ass days.

the regular and flex are the same.  the flex may seem looser bc of the material, but they are the same pant.   the flex will also potentially stretch whereas the standards are less likely too.

as for the skate line, the slim pant they make is the thinner more breathable that comes in flex. while the straight fit skate pant is non flex and less breathable

Dockers pants are very breathable and super loose, I’m sure you can find some for dirt cheap online, I’m currently wearing cargos from them in 30C heat and they feel really nice.

Lee chinos are also great. I have a pair I’ve been skating with for 2 years now and it’s durable but still breathable, actually any brand of pants for old people do the trick.

Doesn't look that washed black to me but nice find.

I wonder if he'll actually wear these or still rock silver tabs lol

Been looking forward to these. Might have to take it back to the DM's for measurements.

EDIT: Took it to the DM's said waist is true to size, not novelty like Polar. "Baggy with a tapper"

Sizing is the same, but don't bother with the flex ones. Unless they've changed them in the last few years; they hardly stretch at all, the fabric looks weirdly shiny, and they shrink significantly in the wash. Just go with the regular ones and go up at least one size in the waist.

HUF Cromer's are live

https://hufworldwide.com/collections/fall-22/products/cromer-pant-pt00242?variant=42372875321513

Man I want these. But they really blew it not giving good sizing for the length. Probably too short for me

Description mentions the models being 5'8" and 5'7" and in those photos there is a decent amount if stacking. Might be SOL if over 6'

EDIT: Base size 32: waist 34" / inseam 32" / leg opening 16.5"

The elastic waist ones, or is there another pair?

I have a pair of Vans chinos that are super comfy but they're just a tad slimmer than I prefer to wear these days.

I’ve accepted that fate as well at 6’6. I was just hoping maybe I could support Cromer when his pant dropped. Brands need to start doing sizing by waist and length not just standard length

As a fellow tall I accepted it too. I've looked at some skate brand pants but cant trust an M or L as sizing choices.

Related to the thread LL bean relaxed fit jeans one size up or even true to size have been really good for me. Good room but not super wide at the bottom.

same here, being 6ft 3 i always find with the small, medium, large scenario companies are putting out these days that even when sizing up hoping for a better length they just end up massive round the waist but the leg length is kept the same so they're still too short.

happened a number of times now. getting annoying always sending shit back and waiting for a refund.

with all these companies i find it jokes that its such a chore to find some comfy trousers that fit to skate in.

is it so hard to make trousers for us long legged folks.

only pairs I've found that fit me nice lately are the navy santa cruz painter pants.

i hate to admit that i'm finding comfort in hearing about other tall bros who are having trouble finding comfortable, loose pants that have an appropriate length. while i agree that most skate brands are tough for us, dickies and carhartt have always treated me well but would like to explore other options

6"5'. Bought some Huf pants for cheap in an XL one time, never again.

Walmart (Dickies or Wrangler) when I'm being cheap, outdoor brands like LL Bean or Eddie Bauer when I'm spending a little more, and clearance at the Levi's outlets is surprisingly fruitful.

Randomly found the cromer pants on the huf website. Fuck it, I bought the wine colored ones because I have far too many light wash jeans. Excited to see how they fit

The polar surf pants have been my go to all summer. Super comfortable even in hot temperatures. They’re expensive but worth it imo

I second the surf pants. Pricey, but you can get them on sale if you do some searching/waiting. Perfect fit for me - nice and loose, plenty of room in the seat/crotch/thighs, but just enough taper so you’re not stepping on them. A lot of brands make that style of pants now, but Polar got the fit exactly right. I want to try the cord surf pants when the weather cools off, but I can never find them anywhere in Canada in an XL.
