I found surf pants sizing to confusing, how liberal are they in the elastic waist? I found a small for dirt cheap but don’t wanna risk them digging in and this place doesn’t take back sale items.

I wear a size 32/32 in polar 93 denim and I think the waist on those is around 35”. I wear a medium in surf pants.

That’s what I was leaning toward, but the small is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Much to consider.

I wear a 32/32 in 93s and small surf pants are too small in the waist and in length IMO

I also wear a 32 in Polar 93s (34 in most other pants), and medium surf pants fit me really well.

In my experience, whatever size you wear in other 'S/M/L/XL' sized bottoms should work.

Anyone have a pair of the Huf original denims? It’s hard to tell what kind of taper they have if any. How do they compare to polar 93s?

I have a a similar question.

What's the comparison between the Huf Cromer, Huf Mason, and Huf Original? I love my Cromers, great quality and fit, but I could definitely go for something that is less baggy at the bottom (more tapered). Does Huf make something that's similar to the Cromer but more tapered?

Probably not on anyone's radar, but the Nike Kearny cargos are loose/baggy, and borderline parachute pants (they're almost 'swishy') super light and airy tho. cinch/ties at the ankle, snap closure with a belt (which is odd) and elastic waist). Usually on sale at most core shops.

They def run BIG, I inituallly got a M and they were too much TJ for me, so I sized down to a small 31/32 wasit/usually a medium.

Buttergoods has warehouse sale that is pretty wild.

Just got a whole slew of jeans for less than $50 a pair.

*just noticed that got posted in the sale thread*

Anyone interested in a genuinely great quality pair of baggy pants for a great price is thia brand I found in IG. They're called Outkits. Honestly its a sneakerhead kinda shoe reseller brand but theybhave their own jeans and they are easily the best quality jeans I've bought for the price.

Shits so heavy. 470 gsm carpenter style double knees and also triple stitched in one area. $90. The only thing that sucked is their sizing is either smaller than they say they are or I'm used to skate brands. I wear a size 30 in Polar and dime jeans, a size 32 in emypres and these size 32's are even tighter than the empyres. TLDR if your used to polars or dime jeans get at least 2 sizes bigger and maybe 3-4.

Recently purchased a couple pairs of the "Reynolds Work Pant" from Former. $70 price tag and they are pretty decent. 65% cotton, 35% polyester IIRC. Nice baggy fit but nothing crazy and rather comfortable.

They also make denim in the same fit but I think they're near $100. Still better than Polar pricing, etc.

Not me because I really don't like the little embroidered heart logo on them, but I've checked them out in a shop. They're a step below Polar/Butter/Dime in terms of price, but the quality/fabric/etc did seem comparable. Pretty good sizing info on their site, so I would say give them a try if the measurements work and there's a pair you like.

anyone here tried the Dime baggy denim vs relaxed denim? Picked up some "baggy" ones for cheap on depop but they are prob the relaxed fit that might've shrunk? the sizing doesn't seem too much different waist and inseam wise b/w the two per their site but curious if anyone has sizing reccs for the newer pairs, TIA!

Uniqlo wide chinos are great. Normally I just thrift for pants, but next time I want a new pair I'm springing for these. They're like really high quality dickies.

I have two pairs of these and I agree. They're more affordable than nearly all skate brand pants, fit great, are readily available in multiple colors, and are good quality. Would definitely recommend

Ah good to know, TY! It’s green, so they were mislabeled on the listing.

Been enjoying them tho, usually I would go with my typical size (34 or L) based on their Relaxed fit measurements online, but M sits pretty nice and loose for me. Still wanna grab something a bit baggier/looser to skate in but good to have for casual days.

I've got them in every color and 2 of the black. Great quality- better than even many more expensive brands

Look at some Yardsale jorts  , made in same factories as Polar , good colors and over dyes , probably find on sale from last year .

Magenta has good denim shorts too

I like my limpies. @Lou Strux put me on a pair and I wear them a lot. They’re more chillers than skate pants for me tbh but really comfortable. The only downside is undoing the belt to use the bathroom, they always try to fall completely off

My biggest gripe w/ Limpies is that they make me wish all of my other pants were Limpies too.
That & the fact that they so rarely drop new merch.

Always stoked to hear about you enjoying the trousers, BHJ.

I’m digging my Pass~Port jorts. They can be found for $40-60. They are made in China but the material quality, color options, and thickness seem better than Polar Big Boy jorts. As a heads up, size down by 2” because they run large.

I’ve also heard good things about Yardsale. However, I’m not a fan of the embroidered logo or extra stitching on the denim.
