i dont know if this is unpopular but i have so much respect for Shane O'Neil.  dude has every right to just slip into the background, grab a martini and enjoy running what must be turning into an extremely profitable multinational company.  but instead he's out there more than ever.  he's getting into the shit at Copenhagen, bringing it a the contest scene, and skating with his team every fucking day.  on the flip side he could easily choose to be the franchise player for April or be all up in the videos but the only time he falls into the background is when someone on his team is getting their shine.

I wouldn't say really well. When covid hit hard and they pulled all the rims down from my local basketball  Courts because of covid and I took to skating as my main form of exercise I actually gained weight.

Not a fan of Breeana and don't think she deserves to go pro. The level of women's skating getting fairly high and she just isn't there.

I don't like the narrative that there's nobody on 917 rn. Pedro Attenborough was on their story today. Rob Taro in Japan dropped a part this summer and they post him on IG all the time. this has always been the case but more so now with the difficulty level being so high. most if not all really good consistent skaters are boring.

Definitely have to emphasize the last sentence. In my opinion, I would rather have less trick with a really good style than with many trick selections with a sloppy style

i think that is the main difference for these days, most consistent really good skaters aren't necessarily "sloppy", they're just too good and bland. at least for me, i like to see character, human shit, relatability in skateboarding. probably because i suck..haha. but you know what i mean.
