in the past i have expressed how i thought the plot really wasn't going anywhere and the show felt sort of manufactured to just combine various plot elements to make viewers feel nostalgic, although i noted that i still thought it was OK, and i was treated like i was some sort of freak

That's kind of Netflix as a whole. Have a sort of interesting idea for a short story/ something that could be an episode of a show like twilight zone fuck it make a two hour movie. Have an interesting idea for a movie fuck it make a whole series. As long as the first and third episodes are good enough who cares how much the shit drags on.

Big Agree. I will say Former makes some quality stuff though. Had a Krooked and a habitat windbreaker both were pretty terrible.

No lies here. Having worked in clothing production I can attest to this. Most of these brands are printing/embroidering on blank garments, like Gildan.  I even saw some of the "high end" ones were doing this at a certain point but improved quality and do real cut & sew as they scaled-- but a lot of brands haven't really as they scaled. I ain't mad at it tho.
It's prob best for the skate industry if this remains an unpopular opinion. Ignorance is bliss or some shit like that.

I’m Jerry’s number one fanboy, but I see what you mean. Although I do like some of the stuff he puts out, other items are kinda whatever. I really wish he’d have more of his photo work out in the open. He’s never gonna have a gallery show anywhere close to where I live

Some people seem to think like Mark is some crusader against hellride and skating as a fun activity, I'm not surprised his education is a point in question after reading some dude acting holier than thou for being smart and tasteful or whatever. Funnily enough Mark is probably a lot more chill than his fans, they're like Tool fans while he's just a skater, I mean look at him in the Dime contest, doesn't look pretentious to me.

Snowboarding seems cool

Snowboarding is fun. It's way more expensive than skating. The culture is lame for the most part because it revolves around privileged kids who's parents pay for their gear and lift tickets. Yeah you can do it for the cheap if you work at a resort (like me who makes snow at one), but it requires a lot more money up front to get into it. You can't do flip tricks, but it feels good. There are definitely some cool riders that do interesting stuff, but it just isn't skating. I agree, but it's only something to do until the ground is dry again

I wish Transworld (pre sale) was the print mag that made it to 2021 and beyond. I just don’t like joints on the cover of the mag regardless of who has it. I’m not saying parts of the culture have to hidden, but they don’t have to be glorified either.
