Anyone know where I can find a 9"+ popsicle with a 14.1 or smaller wheelbase?
Metal 9" popsicle ben raybourn comes with slightly longer 14.25“wb
Eh I'm looking for shorter even though it's only a hair shorter at a 14.1WB that's as big as I like going these days. I wonder if I got one of those Scram 9.5"-10" popsicles and re-drilled the nose and tail mounting holes down to a 14"WB if it would make the nose and tail look absurdly long?
Some boards drill in really well, but others just feel weird, almost too light on the kicks being drilled in too much.
I guess it depends how much you drill it in, or even just doing one end and not both, so the tail still feels like a normal tail, then the nose could be a bit longer and not have to really worry about it, but I have seen people reshape boards down, either at the nose or even both ends.
Don't think most people really want to go to that much effort though, but boards like the Black Label 9 x 32.5 with 14.5 wb, drilled in 3/8" becomes a 14.1 or so wheelbase, so that is an option. I think Polar is about the same too, 14.5 or so wb on those boards.
There is talk of a few more 9" boards coming out with shorter wheelbases in the future, but until that happens, or I have seen one or even seen dimensions, then I couldn't really tell you much more.
Wasn't there a Heroin 9" popsicle with a really short (for me) wheelbase around too? Might have been a Zane RIP model or something.
Found this one anyway, so maybe it is the same shape, 9 x 32 with 14.25 wb - not quite what you want though.
