Alien Workshop vs Gx1000 8.25 decks: anybody knows the differences? I guess they are pretty similar. Anybody skated both or knows how long the tail of the GX is?

Im thinking about getting new cupsole shoes that would offer more shock absorption as I致e had to stop for a herniated disc in my lower back

I have asics gel splyte for now. I find the outsole quite firm, do you think when starting again I  should get something else ? What has a good shock absorption that would protect my back ? Nike ps8?

If my asics are fine I知 happy to keep them

The NB# 480 offers good shock absorption and better looks. A really solid shoe.

Same here..
Had herniated discs in my neck.
NB# 1010, 480 and 808 make all the difference for me.

Got multiple herniated discs and all that tech shit just made it worse.
Do your physical therapy, get strong first! That little bit of foam under your feet is just going to temporarily mask the real issues you have. Obviously you're always going to want extra comfort (my usual beater shoes are a pair of airmax) but you still have to figure out how to beat the pain with your actual body.

Thanks a lot ! You might be right tbh. I’m just looking to reduce the possible issues when I start again. Do you think asics and nb would be the same ?

If I get any of the NB I do prefer the 480 to the 1010 rikki

Sorry I couldn't tell you anything about ASICS vs those nb. I can't tell you what's right for you all I can say is I've found I much prefer a flatter firmer shoe. There's a site called weartested.com where you can see the internal construction of many skate shoes. I also steer clear of any with the hollow grid construction, but again that's just me.

I'd go Ace AF1 or classics for that. Aces push the wheelbase out less than Indy, Thunder, and Venture which should work good for the short tail and longish wheelbase. Indy standards would probably work pretty well too but the pop angle on Thunder or Venture would be too much for me personally.

Demo is a onetime thing, while you can skate the bowl anytime. So, I would probably go for the demo. And if the demo should suck (which would be a surprise) you could bail early and maybe still skate the bowl if it's not too far away.

Fair assessment. Just to provide a different perspective: Watching the thing isn't the same as doing the thing. If it's either/or I always default to skating myself because there'll probably come a time when I can still follow skating by can't do it myself anymore.

Personally, looking at the tail length here and the wheelbase and I would never touch that deck. Ventures and Thunders would make the wheelbase feel even longer, while the tail would feel shorter. For those reasons, probably Indy or Ace. Tails that are shorter than 6.5 are horrible for me.

I've had friends like this deck on anything but forged Venture. The tail is short but it's got lots of flat. Skates bigger than it measures.

How To Fix a Stretched Collar
If you池e noticing a stretched collar on your favorite shirt, there are a few different methods you can use to try to fix it.

Method 1: The Hot Water Shrink
Fill a basin with hot water. Submerge the collar in the hot water for 5-10 minutes, then gently wring out excess water. Let it air dry flat or use a hair dryer on a low setting.

Hot water can help shrink the fibers back into place. Just make sure to handle the shirt gently to avoid any additional stretching.

Method 2: Using a Hair Dryer
Lightly dampen the collar with water using the spray bottle, then use thae hair dryer on medium heat, focusing on the collar. Gently stretch and mold the collar back into shape as it dries.

The hair dryer method is perfect for quick fixes, but be careful not to use too high of a heat setting, which can damage the fabric.

Method 3: The Steam Method
Hang the shirt and expose the collar to steam for a few minutes using a handheld steamer. Use your hands to reshape the collar while it's warm and pliable, then allow it to cool and set in the new shape.

Steaming helps relax the fibers, making it easier to mold the collar back into shape. Just make sure the steam is not too hot to avoid burns or damage to the fabric.

Method 4: Sewing and Elastic Bands
Measure and cut an elastic band to fit snugly around the collar. Sew the elastic band into the inside of the collar, ensuring it's evenly distributed. Test the fit and make adjustments if necessary.

This method requires a bit more effort, but can provide a long-term solution to prevent future stretching. Make sure the elastic band is comfortable and not too tight.

I can buy those superfeet models where I live, which one would you get for asics japan pro & 1010 cupsoles ?
Black 45euros (the toe part is very compact and thin / flex thin low 30euros (more foamy) / carbon (which are now active support low ?
I have low arch and my ankle have the tendency to ォ fall inside サ so it may help me and my sometimes painful right ankle to avoid injuries when I知 back on the board ?

Someone waxed one entire side of a small hip at the skatepark. What can I use to remove the wax without modifying the existing elements? I heard rub bricks work but I don't want to mess with the concrete.

What eventually happened to the gazillion Bam heartagram boards that were sold in his heyday? Do the now middle-aged moms still have them on the wall of their McMansions or did they end up at Goodwill and get skated or what. On eBay there are only some at high prices.
