I didn't know him personally, but I did know him as a fixture on SLAP- as the mayor of Shoes & Gear and as our most prolific poster. For all the nonsense that goes on here, this site remains in existence thanks to those who want honestly to talk about skateboarding, day-in and day-out. They give this place meaning. That legwork is done by a select few, and Tate was one of them, possibly the heaviest lifter of all. Losing Tate is a hole that can't easily, or ever, be filled. We're all worse off. RIP, brother.
