That's actually fucked they got you doing that much work for the brand and then just fucked you off anyway. Real low.
Seriously, best of luck in the future.
That's where blindly supporting skater owned gets you. Jerry recently had this
time stamp 20:20. Skater owned is just a marketing term when you hire outside consultants to makes choices anyways.
Funny how obsessed people are with making people who used to skate rich while denouncing big corps that are obviously not rooted in this but are actually letting relevant current skaters have a liveable wage.
Hey dude, never supported Soletech on the basis of them being skater owned (eS, Etnies fit me better than most other brands. Much as I like Penny and Barney Page, it sucks because that means I'm also giving Don Brown money.). None of these companies are, and as Chuck said it's a culture war thing.
The skater-owned shit pisses me off, because it's meant to invoke some sort of loyalty when really they could be fucking everyone about, the team riders, the team managers, the manufactuerers, etc. It's a face they wear to get your money, every brand has that shit.
It pisses me off when Skater-Owned gets conflated as if it's a co-op owned by skaters, or unionized etc.
No clue if that's ever even been done before in skating but it's gotta happen eventually. Or if woodshops or shoe/aparrel manufacturers have ever been unionized.
