And I'd love an og pair of Reynolds 3s, not the slimmed down remake. But mostly as a novelty. They're just such a weird shoe.

[close]
Reynolds said in one of those NB shoe interviews that he only skated the 3's for one session during a stair jumping session. He either is lying or it was the same day because the only footage of him in those is the back ng across the courthouse ledge in Baker 3. No real point, this is just the only place I could share that knowledge.
He was def exaggerating, he has to many clips in baker 3 with those shoes, maybe he didn’t skate them for a while, but def skated a bunch

Wouldn’t mind a pair of the all black Kirchart 2’s.  They kind of slipped through the cracks compared to his first and third shoe, but I always thought they looked sick on Heath in footage because they were more plain.

I bought a pair of these at the time when they released and was so disappointed once I noticed my pair was defective and “bent”. Like the outsole was glued crooked, wouldn’t sit straight. I still wore it casually but never actually skated in them. Had G-codes before them too, and Herman 2s before those aswell (I was a big fan).

back when those were released i was skating shit like the laceds etc. and i thought that these were way too tech-y looking for me...

i still don't really like how they look but it's funny that this would be now considered a minimal cupsole when back then they were advertised as the techest shit out. wasn't it the first shoe to use the G6 foam?

The Herman G6 is one of my top 3 (event Top 2? depending in the day) I've had 6 or 7 pairs and I usually just skate 1 pair per model. That shoe was so stylish, felt so comfy and skated so good! In fact I just went on eBay and OBO'ed a couple of pairs, (hopefully I can win!)

Seriously all the G6 shoes were such fantastic shoes. Seriously all Emerica cupsoles I've had have been amazing (latest one the KSL G6). I get that most people that buy Emerica and the type of look they market to is a bunch of slim vulcs but don't be stupid dear Emerica. Cupsoles are not going anywhere and are being skated more and more each time.

Edit: Just got 2 pairs of the Herman G6! I feel I have accomplished a huge goal for the year

The first production run of the Herman G6s had awful QC, but they caught it early on and switched factories and the later runs were much better quality. I believe it was only the Hermans because the Reynolds G6 and Heritic G6 that launched at / around basically the same time didn't have that issue. I remember because a lot of people on here at the time all tried out those shoes and the only ones consistently dinged for quality control were the Hermans. People talked to shop owners, reps, etc. and gave feedback and were told Emerica already knew about it and were fixing it and it delayed the second wave of colorways a few weeks. But future waves of the Hermans were much better, more consistent quality.

I lucked out in either getting a good pair of the first production run or one of the first pairs of the second run because I got mine pretty early on after they released and I loved them. And I loved the Westgate G6 (with the runner toe). I think about that shoe all the time. I'm so pissed I didn't stock up on them, but they seemed like such a staple, I hoped I wouldn't need to.

Extreme hyperbole is a thing all skaters are guilty of. "Dude that things like 15 feet tall!" as a 6'1" guy is standing next to it and it's cleary 2-3 feet taller than he is

I had Reynolds 3's and I literally only skated them one time because the sole wasn't glued properly and fell off first session. Tried to get into contact for a replacement but never heard back.

I think he said that he stopped using them after one specific session where he landed wrong and hurt his feet.
Not after 1 session.
He also said the 3s were his best selling shoe.

I bet the Reynolds Lights were the one shoes he never wore.

Close, not in the tail heel out but in the line at that same spot. FS flip up, Switch heel back tail.

Also the tre flip up, nollie flip, nollie inward heel the set line at La Cañada in stay gold was in the lights.

still looking for other footage besides the back ng at courthouse stage in Baker 3 that he was in the 3s if anyone wants to provide. He didnt even wear them for this shake junt collab promo.

I said this when he and Tony Hawk first got on, but I heard from a few sources they both got $$$$ for the short contracts to just push the “classics” for Vans, which is pretty much exactly what happened.

Nice! I hope the glue holds up for you.

One trick that can help on eBay is adding the product to your cart and watch list. about 40% of the time, the seller will send a discount.

One of my favs ever. I had this colorway:

I genuinely remember my progress spiking when I got those. I wore them until there was 50% shoe left.

Honestly these look great
[close]

Yeah these are sick. Will grab a vegan cw if they put one out.
[close]
[close]

Good looking shoe.  $10 cheaper than the MJ, and this actually has a midsole and what they are calling the heel pod.
[close]

I grabbed a pair, they don't have a full length midsole despite what the product description says.  Just the EVA foam section under the heel.  Insole is... fine its EVA, thicker than you get with an Accel but nothing special.

Overall construction feels good though and the shoe looks and fits great FWIW

A little miffed about the lack of a full length midsole but as long as the heel is covered I'm fine with it to skate in.
[close]

Ok I have about 20 or so hours of skating in on the Mutes.
They really do skate great and they are holding together extremely well.
The lack of a midsole however is really a killer though.  As someone pushing 40 my feet ache the next day if I do anything more than flatground.

The heel pod, whatever the fuck they are calling that foam, is excellent.  It's all in the forefoot where I have pain problems.
If the whole midsole was that same foam these would probably end up being my go to shoe moving forward.  Since that isn't the case I'll never buy another pair to skate, I may grab another as chillers because I do love the look of them.

I have a pair of FP insoles that I got for free that I'm going to throw in them until the shoe dies otherwise my body just wouldn't let me skate them.

So comparing these outsoles to the g6 outsoles on the KSL G6, are these any grippier?  That was my only complaint about the ksl g6, I felt like the sole wasn't grippy enough.

That looks a lot different than the white ones, no?   I thought the whites had a reebok/sportier feel which made me interested.   These just feel like another fucking emerica

Edit: looked on page 40 and I guess it’s not particularly different.   I guess the white leather version just looks a lot more fancy than suede with white stitching

Spanky HI’s are my new favorite shoe. Skated three sessions in them so far and they have no disappointed. Already picked up the Lottie’s pair, can’t wait for more colors to drop

The Lotties collab is the last colourway. I’d grab as many pairs of the navy, black/tan and Lotties as you can!

Goddamnit. So the white suede ones are cancelled?
