I saw a guy wearing a pair skating Pier 7 last sunday. He did a nice backside 180 fakie manual on the block. But then he tried a switch fs flip like 4 feet in front of my kid's open stroller and I was kind of annoyed because if he'd looped out his board would have blasted her in the face. I never understood the appeal of trying shit in the middle of pedestrian traffic.

I know the person you're mentioning but especially if you skate/post on SLAP, why wouldn't you try to be conscious of where you are in relation to the people skating that spot?
and then coming on here to mention it in the Asics thread just because he was wearing Asics? lol. interesting thought process

The Gel-Vickka is one of the best shoes I’ve skated in a while. Nice slim fit without suffocating my foot like similar shaped models from other brands. Bought that new blue pair today, still hoping the black/navy pair Gino wears makes it’s way to the US at some point…

Unlike dunks, ASICS only sale at like 15 or so skate shops that are listed on their IG. That’s it for the whole US. They don’t even have a shop in my state.

I would say the flexkee would be the same size you wear in dunks.  Otherwise, go down a half size for the other models, they fit closer to Cons sizing.

Just ordered a pair of Japan S (non-skate version) to try them out. Really hope to see the Japan Pro in black/white from the first drop sometime in Europe but these will do for now.
