The fact that Gonz and Jeremie Daclin still send each other clips to this day is awesome (44:31). Always loved Gonz guest clip in his Bon Appetit part!

Tony and Gonz are funny as shit. Like two stoned teenagers having a lark. Ellis would have ruined this one.

Tony Hawk knowing how many kingpin threads are exposed for his preferred truck tightness is wonderful: https://youtu.be/WmtEflJwNiE?feature=shared&t=2181

I'm definitely not complaining about new Gonz content, but I was hoping for a little more history from his perspective. It seemed like Gonz knew a lot more about Tony than the other way around. Gonz seemed ready to tell more stories but the conversation just meandered a bit. At the same time, it was cool to hear two legends just shooting the breeze.

a friend spent a day w/ Gonz many years ago, he was writing a day-in-the-life article for a mag. when he brought up the eyebrow incident, he said Gonz turned away and skated away from him really fast.

Really liking it so far. Gonz has a good memory and they both seem to be having great time.

It's a podcast miracle that Ellis wasn't there. I enjoyed that.

Crazy how strong Gonz’s memory is through all the years. Haven’t finished it yet but I’m loving it so far.
The stale fish conversation was pretty cool. Never heard that one before.

That is the 1st  podcast I have ever watched. Given my age and that of the interviewees, I shall give it 10/10.

Though the adverts were unfuckingbearable....

I wish Ellis was part of it.

I wish Ellis was part of it.

I feel like a Gonz appearance is an instance where Ellis’ hype and excitement would actually be justified. I enjoyed the show but I agree with you.

I feel Ellis may have derailed the convo fanning out, and talking about unrelated shit.  Causing us to miss a lot of the little gems that they spoke about.  They're pretty tight with the time limit, and 10 minutes of Ellis would be 10 less minutes of strange Gonz stories.

I guess he may have also asked questions that brought up other interesting history.  Maybe they'll do it again if Hawk rebuilds that ramp they jabbered about.

^thats true. I think I was imagining more that he would just sit frozen in awe and laugh along or chime in with stoke a la Kelly Hart but that’s super optimistic. His tangents can be challenging.

They should replace Ellis with Lee Ralph, then re-interview Gonz.

That is the only way.
