Still under tons of snow but I set up a shaped deck for when the weather is nicer, while doing so decided to re-grip a slightly skated deck that I was just going to hang up but instead I spruced it up and now will give to any grom skating a shitty deck in the spring...but the grip job on the now give away deck is way better.

In short: stoked - some kid will get a deck / not stoked - my grip is bunk and still the dead of winter.

Stoked that more people just learned about Stephanie Person. Not stoked because when I started looking into the first black skaters, as a teen I completely wrote her off. Understand that I’m not discrediting any of her achievements but after finding legends like chuck treece, bertlmann, peanut brown, steadman, grimes, and allen I easily pushed person to the wayside. I’m sure she was brought up because black history month is about to end and someone needed a last minute black story. Black history month is pretty disingenuous. As soon March hits everyone forgets again. Try not to forget this clip.

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

My brother got gifted a 4 cylinder jeep by my parents. It's a 5 speed.

He doesn't like it and can barely drive stick. He has 3 cars. He  said I can drive it when ever I want.

I have no idea why my parents have never ever given me anything except the boot in the winter for being around too much.

Anyway I'm mobile if anyone wants to skate around boston

It’s been nice as fuck for the last week. Went hiking with my gf Friday, Saturday and Sunday and skated outside Monday and Tuesday. Today it started raining, turned to snow by 3, and it’s a full blizzard now.

Getting my wisdom teeth removed but I hate surgeries of any kind. Anesthetics scare the piss outta me. At least these pressure headaches will be gone after.

I tried to move up from 8.0 to 8.25 today by setting up a whole complete, brand new from the Kalis DGK/AWS deck to the Titanium 144 Indies to the boltz.  I found the move up remarkably subtle, even an improvement, definitely not as troublesome as I feared it would be.

Then I found a new spot very close that has an ill bench down a gap and had a marathon session where I almost pulled a kffscrook.

Then I went to the beach to jump in the cold ocean to celebrate and soak my old bones, BUT it resulted in me twisting and hyperextending my bad knee striding back in when I stepped in an underwater pothole.

So instead of going to the bar and eating pizza and drinking modelos with my friends tonight, I am now eating Aleves and iceing my injured leg.

Things I'm Stoked On: Joining Team 8.25, finding a new spot, getting very far along on a valued trick, immersing myself in the cold ocean.

Things I'm Not Stoked On: Underwater potholes, taking NSAIDs, not drinking.

Overall Stokage Level: Not stoked

Have a little rage issue at work so coworkers go complain to the supervisor not come talk to me . So after a few verbal warnings & write up I finally found a therapist through work . The Doc had been super rad and life is looking good . No my issue is my coworker is still poking at me trying to get a ride out of me . I don’t want to go to the superviser because that seems lame .

Found a 7.88 board, which was my favorite size for a long time...

...adjusting back to 7.88 feels odd and the shit was 95CAD (not including tax).

This is a regional sandwich.

It's called a super beef 3 way.

It's highly addictive. I'm not stoked that I'm eating like this at all.

Currently job hunting - stoked to find new jobs that I'm qualified for and fantasizing about living in that area and having a steady income. The not stoked comes from nothing but silence and rejections for the last month. please hire me.

Are you afraid to name the shop you got it from out of fear of being berated by all other massholes that their local beef spot is superior?

Also, I've never had a 3 way, always sauce only for me. But the first time I'm back in the states with my girlfriend I think I will order her one the way she wants and one 3 way to try... and I will try it then.

I was born with cysts on my eyes due to the kidney cancer that my mom had.

They removed 1/3 of my eye and that always left me extremely self concious.

At 18 years old they reconstructed it with donor material.

23 operations, donated sclera, cysts ... it hurt like hell and gave bullies something to make my life living hell.

I recently had some veins removed that were literally pushing my eye apart.

For the first time in 38 years it looks and feels alright ...

There's like 1400 extra bucks in my bank. I have no idea how it got there. I assume it's covid money I didn't get last year.

Ssi found out first. Now I gotta fight to keep my disability going. We aren't allowed to have more than a grand in the bank.

hope you get to keep it. that sucks that you can't keep more than 1k. we have similar rules for welfare over here and it makes no sense to me, how would anyone save up enough to get out of debt or something. everytime you have too much you have to pay them back, even if someone sends you money for a birthday gift or something. this is why everyone trys to do cashies on the side when on the program.

I have to give it back.

Everything fell apart as soon as I opened my mouth.

They still owe me last year's money.

Stoked on: It's been a long time coming but I've finally reached out to a therapist and am beginning that journey while working on getting to a point of either sobriety or getting a handle on my substance abuse issues.

No Stoked on: Terrified of unpacking the amount of reasons I know that I'm fucked up and having to bring up a lifetime's worth of trauma and losing a lot of friends by not drinking or doing drugs. My overthinking/anxiety of these two things are fucking me up but I know I'm doing what's best for me.
