I'm currently skating a pair of Kyle Walker Pros. Did anyone else have a horrible time with these shoes? They wore down all the way to the suede after 3 sessions and the board feel is garbage. I took out the huge insole and had a tiny bit better of a time but not so much.

i was kind of surprised how quickly they wore down to the suede as well, but once i hit that point, they hardly wore down any more and lasted forever.

^same here! herc knows i been on a pretty long kyle walker trip....like 6 pairs back to back......i admit they wear down to the suede at the toes/ kickflip spot but after that they last a whole lot. thought the boardfeel was cool while still being a stable shoe. the thick insole took me some getting used to but after a while it squishes out a little bit in the heel wich makes your heel lock in better!
different strokes i guess....

Yo, how did these fit? True to size? I want to get a pair but the local shops don't have any in stock

Yeah, I wear 11 and got 11, they did feel a little tight but not around the toes, more around the top of my foot, but that has already gotten better after wearing a few times and breaking in the insoles (i also have fat feet so you might not run into that problem at all).

Hahaha, is it huge or small?  I'm on my phone and it looks fine but I've never uploaded from the phone before.  I'll check it on the computer when I get a sec

Note: these come with an EVA insole (same as the Reynolds low) as opposed to the ortholite insoles that are in the normal model and the Truman reserves.

Damn, those look good too. Glad I ordered the Reserves though. Are you planning on skating them? I'd probably order the black suede to skate if I didn't go through shoes so slowly and these would look so stupid when skating in shorts during the summer.

Digging the P.Rod 10's so far. Will probably wait til fall/winter before I actually skate them but they're a clean shoe to wear around nonetheless. The 7 is my favorite shoe period so I had to fuck with these. I stuck with my usual size 10 but I will say the fit is VERY SNUG. If you want to use anything other than the stock ortholite or have wide feet or anything like that, you'll need to go a half size up or more for sure. The tongue area where the shoe wraps over your foot is the tightest part of the shoe, but the toebox itself is fairly normal. I posted another photo to show how the collar is much thinner compared to the P.Rod 7. The collar seams like they have a "sharp" edge like a dress shoe, but its subtly padded on the inside and it doesn't feel like it digs into your ankles. Its a firm but supportive feel. Despite being much thinner than the 7 they're still fairy comfortable and while they're definitely stiff at first (its mostly leather so that's expected) the upper feels real nice once it loosens up. If they made the toecap double layered all the way through like the 7's they should be bombproof as far as durability goes. i actually got a pair before this but sent it back because the suede had some scuffs & had a weird fuzzy texture. Sent em back and these pair looked a lot better

I can't wait to skate them, but I promised to get through the toe cap on the new Reynolds before I start destroying the Romero Hi.

I actually prefer the feel of the Truman Reserve Romero Hi to the all blacks, the leather feels really nice and provides a snug fit.

Not sure where else to ask this and don't wanna start a new thread, but anyone who's skated dunks(especially ones with clear/ice tread), how much longer will the bottom last before getting a hole or becoming too slippery after the tread has gone bald. The tread on mine has been wearing out much faster than I expected and the ollie/fliptrick area is seemingly indestructible.

'Es Sense.  They look weird, I feel like I need to wear sweats when I skate them, but they're probably the most comfortable shoes I've skated in years. The sti foam is no joke. Have Seslas on deck.

sick! I'd honestly be down to try them but I can never find them anywhere to try on. Did you 0.5 size up?

haaaa, just got that same colorway from a friend for 60?. really dig the shoe and same as the sesla, that sti foam is really comfy. still think about cutting the tongue centering straps so the don't look that long and slim....you think i'd still be locked in pretty good without the straps? shoe fits really snug on me i would say!

and i am with you on the sweatpants with the shoe- maybe i just fanned out on wennings insta clips a little too much but i feel like they would look good in sweats too...

At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.
