I want to say it’s instagram, but what it really is is an addiction to both validation and distraction from my current state of being. I’ll be the first person to say this is obviously a personal problem and I should address it. But shit therapy aint cheap

Mangoes. I've been through at least 30 mangos with out a juicy, face melter. I've tried different stores, tried organic vs non-organic, peru vs mexico. I can't win

Filipino Mangos

I saw this thing on TikTok last week about how the vocals in Mr. Brightside sound like Jerry Seinfeld and I've had that stupid song stuck in my head since then.

took the bus home and this couple came in with the shittiest attitudes. they argued and treated each other like shit. i started to giggle and smirk cus y’all adults acting mad goofy rn. then chick says “oh yeah what a shitty excuse of a fiancé i am cus you beat me everyday”. fucking terrible. everyone on that bus felt uncomfortable and shit felt like a cry for help. he then gets upset and says “you’re embarrassing me”. like damn you’re embarrassed that you’re a fuckin bozo

i had a friend in a relationship like that before. they were both toxic especially his partner. they’d fight at every hangout and created awkward tension within the group.  it began to scare me cus there was a twisted psychotic energy to it. my last interaction with them sorta traumatized me. during an mdma come up they got into a fight. she was screaming and he came into the room hyperventilating with this scary look in his eyes. he foreal looked like that charles manson mug shot with the twitchy eyes.

sorry to spill this all on this thread. fuck abusers and fuck toronto transit

I feel like if I could figure out how to pop it low I'd be on but this shit is like 3 boards high always

I'll spare the details but what a fuckin nightmare i had last night. In short, randomly moved into house of 2 strangers, proves to me a meth addicted rapist cult, cops shows up but oh no it's the cartels disguised as cops, tossed into back of a truck with a canvas sack over my head as we were let out into a field as machine guns were loaded up. Then woke up fuckin shoooook

I have absolutely no idea where the storyline came from lmao but I did need to take a little nyquil that night, the severe version, I'm thinking that stuff just jumpstarts imagination or something. But that was definitely a first

Looked at a picture of myself taken in Feb of 2020 and goddamn has my hair and beard gone grey in the last 3 years.

34 years old and I’m starting to look like an old man.

Some dude came up to me at the park and told me that I taught him how to noseslide when he was younger. He asked if I remembered him and I said “I’m sorry bro I don’t remember you but it’s nice to meet you again.” He seemed pretty bummed then he broke his tail on a heelflip. Should I have just said that I remembered him?

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

no, the dude will get over it and appreciate you being real with him instead of faking it at some point. it's gonna happen to him, too, perhaps, sometime. if the comment stoked you out and the dude is cool i'd be just friendly whenever i see him. keep up the good vibes. i thought your answer was pretty cool, i wouldn't be bummed that you don't remember, but definitely feel welcomed by you saying it's nice to meet again. i think you handled this very well.

I feel you dude. I'm 36 and I got the gray hairs coming into my beard on both sides of my chin pretty heavy.  I'm just thankful that its at least coming in symmetrical instead of being in random patches like some other men that I see around. It could definitely be worse.

You know, the older I get, the more I'm starting to realize that getting old is actually a privilege that not everyone is afforded. Seeing the post about Yapple Dapple passing away really drove that point home for me. So whenever I start feeling insecure or bummed about getting older, I try to think about the people who never even made it to their 30s. Sorry if I got a little too deep there.

I had a huge assignment worth like 50% of my grade due Monday night at midnight.  I sent it to my professor around 6:30 monday evening.  I get an angry email from her today saying that she just got it and I'm going to lose a bunch of points off of my final grade.  The email says that I sent it to her today at 2:30 this afternoon with no record of me sending it Monday night.

I somehow convinced her that I actually did send it Monday by emailing her a screenshot showing the file was last modified Monday, but I'm sure I still look like a sketchy liar.  Im using outlook exchange.  WTF happened with the email and how do I prove I sent it on time?

Your sent emails folder should have a time stamped record. You should always turn on notifications for when the email arrives at destination and when it is opened for important thangs.

It doesn’t.  The time stamp says I sent it today at 2:30 when I was on camera in a zoom meeting.  I sent it Monday night.  I checked my sent folder right after I sent it.  Now there is no record of that.

I keep waking up with weird sore spots (right ass cheek has been sore for days because I've been pushing differently) and the injuries I'm aware of accruing keep being bizarre (stretched my ulnar nerve during a slam last week). I know most of it is age (late 30s) and trying to get better after having started way late in life but it sucks. Does everyone else's body hurt and they just don't talk about it much? I'm the only chick in my crew, and the only one I know who eats shit on a regular basis so I dunno who to compare with. Getting old is super lame. You'd think being physically active would be enough, I know it's not but you'd think it would be. I've been trying to work out etc but I find it all exhausting. I just want to skate.

I didn't start really feeling old until I was 37 and it happened super fast. You definitely have to make an effort or it just gets worse. I'm pretty active but even little things like smoking too many cigs or not eating fruit/veg for a few days will affect me now so I try to eat better, limit my smoking as much as I can, actually take vitamins and exercise, and get enough sleep. Definitely makes a difference.

Smashed my face into a wall trying to help my ex after she got too turnt. First bloody nose in my whole life and of course on Monday I'm supposed to go back into my office for the first time in 3 years. What the fuck.

Is a broken nose vs bruised nose an obvious difference? Some swelling going on and it hurts but nothing too terrible, like I can actually kinda squeeze my nose without it reaching unbearable pain by any means. Hope that's a good sign of just bruising

And now it turns out my ex actually broke her ankle.. 5 days before we're supposed to roadtrip and move her across the country

I had my uncle call me at work today asking for a plus one to my wedding. I told him that I couldn't cuz of the venue and we are already tight on our budget. He drunkenly told me he will pay but I told him no but wouldn't listen. I told him that if I see the person there I will be really pissed and will kick them out.
