Just got my first cruiser today as a Bday gift from my girlfriend (well, she paid, I chose everything  ;D )

Frog Pat G (9.875)
Ace AF1 77 stock
OJ Plain Janes 87a 58mm.
Bones Reds
Santa Cruz Slimeline Rails
Diamond 1/8 Raisers
Bronze 56k Allen bolts 1inch.
Jesus Grip + Random Clear Grip

So stoked on how it came out. Went to the park and had a fun test drive already. So different from my usual 8.25 deck, feels like skating a tank!

im jealous of that grip job. my dumbass couldnt even get two straight lines to get the polar graphic cut out lmao

I consider this deck a ‘Street Masher’. You can use it as a cruiser but it is much more versatile. It’s basically an old skool set-up with soft wheels. You should get a pair of Spitfire 97a conical full 56mm or 58mm for a true old skool set-up with modern components. This should also be in big boys with 9 inchers or whatever we call that thread...

I had an old deck, trucks etc lying around so I decided to buy the biggest softest wheels I could find, slap them all together and make a cruiser and this is what I ended up with.

Organika 8.1
Thunder 147
Bones soft bushings
Big ass risers
Enjoi wheels, 62mm 83a

That thing looks fun as shit, not gonna lie!

Oh, sorry! Noob hour here  ;D I surely got it more as a cruiser than a ATV skateboard because the streets in Germany suck to roll in hard wheels... altho I do see the potential you’re talking about. I’ll post it on the other thread then.

I like your setup a lot and if my post came of as a lecture that was not what I meant. It’s a great cruiser but I just wanted you to show people in 9+ who may not look at this thread.

If you put slime balls 95a 60mm on this you would basically have the skateboard I started with, which is why I suggested the modern day equivalent.

Imagine power sliding down a hill with this. The width would allow you to really control your slide. I have a Dane 1 and I have just been trading out the wheels from Bones Rough Riders to Spitfire F4s depending how I want to skate. You are gonna realize that besides flip tricks this deck can do it all...

It's been said before but it's worth repeating. Bones is blowing it by not having a conical full shape wheel in the G-Slide formula. Just letting NHS drink their milkshake with those Keyframes.

Figured this might be the best place to ask... Can you run OJ Super Mini Juice wheels flipped? Just put some on and they hot rod in the rear a touch and sit flush when flipped. I've never ran offset wheels, so I'm not sure.

Hey All would love some input on my Cruiser setup got it fro. A local Board maker here that imports Canadian maple and presses them here in Cape Town South Africa

Debating what Truck size to go with , either indy 139 , 149 or Maybe 144s

The back is exactly 8" back Truck and the front trucks 9" and WB of 14.5" length of 31.5"

149’s sound like the most balanced for that. It’s a 8.5inch axle, so right in the middle.

Thanks to your question I flipped my mini super juices. I like them better now. Before I flipped them they felt kind of grabby when turning.. Like they wanted too do a tighter turn than I wanted.
Now I'm just scared they will grab on coping and curbs.

Yes, easily.

If they feel weird or anything, you can always put them back on the other way too.
Awesome, thanks man.

Ya, they do feel slightly better flipped with my 169's. I'm surprised OJ hasn't thought about taking the less concave side and turning it into a symmetrical wheel (effectively being a slightly wider Keyframe in 78a).

I flip my Keyframes like this... shallower edge out feels more precise, rolls straight off curbs fine no hanging up

Set this one up for my wife a few years ago, but she rarely rides it. Now that bars are open again I've been riding it a lot. This thing is so fun and the wheels will crush anything in their path.

AH Cardiel 9.18 football deck
Independent 149s
Slimeball 60mm 78a

Indy 109s
OJ 60mm Super Juice
Reds, 1&1/4" Panhead bolts

I didn't grip it but I think I might have to put at least a few spots on. Super fun.

I'm sure someone on this thread knows where I can get one. I'm looking for a flexible Heated Wheel style polarizer board. Any leads? Either a complete or just the deck.

@Shufflessss
Kind of cheating to get a ready made complete Polarizer, as I assumed half the fun was sourcing the components and tweaking them yourself but here you go. NB approved.
