i remember he said that about Neff, the hat company. idk if he had said anything like that about oakley. I dont want to start a debate about selling out with oakley, but i wouldnt call it selling out. oakley is directed to a certain niche: people who can afford expensive glasses. oakley isn't targeting broke ass skaters. its not like hes charging 75$ for a t shirt with his name is on it, they're fucking expensive glasses. its not like youd buy them anyways, so get over it. koston is just making some dough on the side. cant hate on that.

I'd say between $75 and $150K a month sounds about right depending on which projects we're working on. Either of those numbers are pretty accurate depending on the month. And those costs are going up.

If you think outside the box, if you think of all the people in the world and all the things going on right know....then think about how Surfing lost it's soul when dudes in the line up started getting all agro and taking every wave and starting fights on the South Shore of Oahu, so a lot of soul guys just said "fuck this". Then think about Snowboarding getting into the Olympics and fanning out over "all over print" designs. Now it's 2010 and you have skateboarders spending more money on ADVERTISING.

 all these other "extreme sports" have been completely bought out pillaged and ruined, yet there still exists a subculture within skateboarding that is relatively untouched by this because we have a community that actually calls out and puts a stop to bullshit.

you should be happy that this happens and that this thread exists with you being called out as you clearly crossed the line between ok and bullshit, and deserve to get hated on. the very community that is shitting on your actions right now is one of the reasons people aspire to be a part of it and look at your website every day, clean your shit up and thank us later.
