I'm skating the all black suede right now. One of the best shoes I've ever skated. I super glued the seams and they've been solid. However, I would never buy the nylon pairs even though I love them so.

Also am currently skating the blue with the mesh. The leather toe cap gave way in a week and the mesh still stands strong. And even if it didn't i'd throw a little shoe goo on. One of my favorite shoes I've ever had theyre amazing

The Lakai Telford is (likely) named after Walter Telford who helped Carroll design his Vans pro model.  He used to be the head of design at Airwalk in the late 80s and early 90s.    (From “Made For Skate” book)

Pretty close, I hate how the Rowan has that extra sidewall subpanel that makes it have that Bearcat look; and how the Ollie area doesn’t actually include the lace hole

Does anyone remember the cupsole version released around 97/98? They even had a synthetic suede version, I think. I'd love to see that rereleased.
