Virgil states that Lucien Clarke designed the shoe for himself and it's his pro model. Sadly I do believe whom said his name was removed to make sales easier as people buying LV wouldn't be familiar with Lucien but seeing LV all over the shoe is more appealing to those spending $1200 for shoes

I’d skate them I’ll be honest

I would purposely skate them in front of hypebeasts and resellers, making sure my flick was horrendous to flick as much of the shoe as possible and watch the tears come down their face as the shoe devalues with each trick...kind of like a fucked up Saw Trap for them

If I am being honest, I wouldn't mind skating a pair, only the Black/Yellow one since that one is the most palatable of the bunch in my opinion. Could always sharpie the yellow pieces black and have a black  upper with a yellow bottom lol

I really don't see anything wrong with those Bapes. The CWs are on par, even tame to what nike has been putting out the past few months. What's funny is they're just cashing in on the dunk hype and will probably sell for the same amount retail.

They say “Lucien Clarke” on the medial side but it’s sharpie in. Both lateral sides say “Louis Vuitton”.

Yeah, plus they did a massive dirty on him and took his name off the side of his own shoe, replaced it with LV instead, and made it sound like Virgil came up with the design based on 90s runners, when it's blatantly based on 90s skate shoes Lucien liked that were themselves based on 90s runners!

They always featured both LV and Lucien’s names on the sides. They might only be showing LV in photographs because they know it’ll sell more.

They definitely could have made it more clear how much Lucien contributed but LV and Virgil have been hyping up Lucien signing to LV a lot on IG and via fashion press releases (I see them a lot on my work) as their first pro skater ambassador (or endorsee or whatever they officially call it). So could they clarify it here on the listings more? Yes. But they’re also not throwing Lucien under the bus I’m other media.

You sure? I have yet to see a single picture of the retail shoe with Lucien's name on it... Here are some examples where you can se both left and right foot:

Lucien also says "my pro shoe" all the time, but in LV's release the shoe is "designed by Virgil Abloh" or "Designed by Virgil Abloh conceived in an exchange with professional skateboarder Lucien Clarke".

Maybe on Kelly's pair its written in sharpie, however looking at the close up photo of the LV on the shoe and Lucien's name in the video on the post below it, the names arent sharpied in, if you were to take away the names there would be an imprint in the shoe of what was once there and still say his name. So maybe Lucien wrote his name in on Kelly's pair, but the mass production ones look like the close up photo on this post

and there's a photo of a medial side of a pair that doesnt have his name on it, so any mention of lucien on his shoe is him writing it is n after production
