I used to believe that I was the sole individual who cared about shoelaces. My technique involves unlacing them all the way down to the toe box, leaving the lace over and under the first rung, and then proceeding to lace up under and over for the remainder. This approach provides a greater sense of stability and ease in tightening the shoe. Personally, I find it much more manageable and efficient to work with.

Something I've noticed over the last many years is shoes come with laces that go from outside to in. It didn't used to be this way, or at least I think it didn't used to be this way because I don't recall having to completely unlace my shoes and then reface them. Not all manufacturers do this, but it's way more prevalent now than ever. Odd complaint on my part, but in reality lacing from outside to inside is garbage.

It’s weird you say that cause I had that same thought like a decade ago. When I really got into shoes cause I was getting more into skating as a kid there was a turning point I wanna say around 05 maybe that I started having to relace every shoe I bought cause they had the show room outside to In lacing . Coincidentally but perhaps not looking back it this was standard lacing for all those mall shoes DC , DVS , and etnies made . You know the ones, the shoe every girl who got pregnant in tenth grade wore with the pink dc or etnies logo on em. I think that’s where the change happened . I just always assumed it was so you could slap any shoe out of the shipment on the shelf and have it look uniform

I think Alf is doing savale full time now based on how many ads I get for it these days. I think darkpools said it was out of the same factory that did huf and lakai . Which if so might be a bad omen cause Lordy did those cheaper huf outsoles suck. I think lakai changed factories after crailtap took it back in house and I don’t really have complaints about those , Riley 2s actually lasted way too long for me .so hopefully it’s whatever factory recent lakai using and not 2015 huf/lakai factory .

My thoughts exactly. Immediately reminded me of shoes from when I was a kid. Those cream ones are fire. Might get a pair as chillers once the concencus on width is out.
