I hope not. That is one of the better shoes out there. At least in my opinion. Lakai's always fit me really well.

Shit cracks me up when a shoe is labeled as "designed by" when its all white. Like wow......the process, thinking and time it took to make this colorway

still a clean looking tho. The color is pretty straight forward obviously, but she probably had a say in the materials used as well (maybe the leather is softer, insole art, etc.)
the green laces a nod to huf?

So glad they're bringing the Pro Models back, I was skating a old non skate line pair and was loving it until the soles were breaking off in chunks. Purple is not my color so wasn't feeling the Kader ones but would definitely buy these and paint the stripes black to give it the classic look.

Saw that Nocturnal just posted these on their site so that's why I came here, do find it weird they're marketing the Kader ones a lot but not giving these any shine even tho they just dropped too.

Lakai actually has a pretty strong line up right now. Haven’t skated a pair in a long time but sounds like they worked out some of the QC issues they’ve been having. Any one skate a pair recently? I’ve only been on fastbreaks for 3 years.

Skating the Telfords rn, with the OG sole.
I have no complaints so far.
Ready to skate right out of the box.
I have another pair with the XLK sole waiting, and they’re a little stiffer on the sole, might need a little breaking in. But then again, will probably last a little longer.

lakai q4 2023 calendar is up. mostly the usual 50/50 combo of shoes that will make you somewhat less likely to get mugged or absolutely garish horseshit but this one appeals to me as a mid/cup appreciator

It might be a week or two before I skate them but I definitely recommend changing the insole out of the gate. The sole is pretty damn thin.

Designers tend to not get royalties on designs. Either they are salaried or you get a design fee paid to you. Riders however DO get royalties for their signature product, whether a new model or a colorway. So he should be making okay money!

From the pictures I've seen the Alexis looks more like a Weapon in shape than the Fastbreak. I think it's a really good shoe. I'm not particularly fond of the rubber ollie bumpers but besides that I think it's sick.

Really I just want them to release a proper black/white Pro Leather low though. With the history that shoe has in skateboarding it kinda seems like a no brainer.



I bought some of the ones they have out now and the sole is rock hard. I have no idea how DeBobby and others skate them.

Skated the AS-1s yesterday... They look really sick but they're one of the least satisfying shoes I've ever skated. The sole feels super bizarre. Even landing bolts still felt like I was off balance on kickflips on flat. Just a really terrible feeling shoe imo. Wildly narrow and actually uncomfortable to skate in imo. I really wanted to like them.  I noticed in their insta post where they're showing the deign or whatever that it says smthng like

'concave all the way, only flat part of sole is at the heel'

Or smthng like that. Wondering if that's why they feel so bizarre. Even my con head friends are grumbling and hoping for a redesign if AS gets another shoe. Skate chucks or fast breaks. This shoe seems like it tried to combine the essence of both and missed the mark.
