Already did one survey here that gathered a lot of replies from pals (golden data). So if any of you guys can donate your time to this again, I'd appreciate it tremendously.

The survey is about the 3 key features of skate shoes - function, ergonomics and aesthetics.

It's super down-to-the-core and basic but it is just so I can incorporate this data into my masters' thesis base research material. So it's basic for a reason.

The NB#933 actually looks super nice. Finally a shoe that looks like an actual new balance "lifestyle" trainer rather than a sorry attempt somewhere in between. Really waiting to see good colorways with a more matching color scheme between the sole and the upper.

I can see the BA reference but I'm more inclined to the same era Westgate G6 shoe. That was an absolute beast when it came out and I've kinda been wondering why new balance has not done anything like it with Westgate. It would fit perfectly.

yeah, the emerica sole actually looks more interesting. the nb sole kinda kills it for me. more specifically, the sidewalk of the sole. just looks boring. some more shit on the side would have made it look more like a one of their ‘running’ shoes, and that would have been a win imo

I love that Andrew Allen always does the Authentic Hi. Obviously he skates them, but it’s basically his unofficial pro model at this point. I hope it gets to a point where 15-20 years from now he’s still getting a colorway of an Authentic Hi every couple years.

Emerica did the Shifter a bunch for Heath that was a skateable motorcycle boot (not sure how it’s distinctly different from a military-inspired boot). If I remember correctly, the final version that was part of that Reserve line they had for a bit was the best looking version. The Reserve line was really cool.
