Today on thirsty Thursday, we have the Reynolds OG (Olympic Grade). An updated version of the unofficial shoe of skateboarding's favorite degenerates, the Warner ave. mob.

New features, new fit, but just as fresh as before

The best part? These shoes come in a limited edition 'Haze' colorway, paying homage to one of the most unique moments in the original silhouettes legacy: An ultra-stylish line done by 'smooth operator' Brad Hayes in the cult classic Baker 2G, where he is seen wearing what appears to be a custom painted pair of the aforementioned Reynolds signature series.

I feel like Vision Street Wear did this back in the late 80's. I have a pretty strong memory of a VSW hi-top in canvas with the little ollie patch. I know they obviously had a suede one.

I've got a pair of the black suede ones. They're a near perfect shoe, but the thing letting them down is the lack of tongue straps. I find the tongue going all over the place a lot of the time!

That's a BIG "if" there. Not trying to be a dick, I just know that most shoe companies don't like accepting random unsolicited design ideas. It's a legal issue of intellectual property and such.

Shoe companies either pay a salaried designer and therefore own the designs that designer comes up with as stipulated in the contract they signed when back accepting the position, or they contract out to a freelance designer for a project and have documents signed giving rights of the designs for that project to the company before the designer even starts sketching on it. This is just what I've heard from friends in the shoe industry, but maybe SKATAN can give some more insight from directly within?

Anyways, again, BIG "if" so I don't think these mockups belong in this main thread, despite how sick they are. Seriously, some good design ideas, just wrong place.
