The Lynx Zero is terrible. I've seen the catalog pics. I was actually stoked on the idea of them making a slim Lynx. Seriously all they needed to do was slim down the exact design of the Lynx, but they changed the toe piece to a Dunk/Manteca shape with the dip, and took out the contrast t-toe design underneath it. Also the way the running shoe toe comes up, the white is above the regular sole, then there's red inside of it. Looks super cheap like a toddler's Lynx model.

oh no 🙁 i agree, it actually does really resemble the pure from that photo they released. it’s a shame to hear about all of these design changes; it sounds like they’ve removed a lot of what makes the lynx, the lynx. thanks for the invite Watson, I’m interested to see those catalog pics

the new insoles are little better but the cushion on the és symbol and silo are are so nice that it doesn’t really matter.

I wouldn’t necessarily call the Lynx Zero “terrible.” I mean first off it’s a fairly subdued shoe. Looks pretty skate-able and semi “dunk-a-like.” Honestly if the materials are decent and the price is right I’d probably skate them.

No they're not. They used to be a Spzl release, which is like a limited collection of shoes more aimed to people into terrace culture and vintage sneakers. Now they are introducing the Garwen and the Punstock to the inline business, so they are easier to get. I actually never tried to skate my pair, since I like them too much to trash them ahah. But they should skate alright. the heel is a bit flimsy on them but they use the Adidas Bermuda outsole which feels fairly skateable and grippy. I think they are quite wide foot friendly too, and since I have a slim foot I have to crank down the laces a bit too much for my liking.

huh? Because the toe cap? Shape? Because they both used mesh?

Mostly the mesh sidewall and tongue, but the heat fused seam and shape of the vamp are also fairly similar.
