Never said I couldn’t understand how people support corpo shoe companies. But you do realize summer is an extremely small season and just for some little stories and that the other seasons are the main ones focused on new models, collabs, bigger selection on team rider and inline colorways right? Plus, not all of the Summer products are in the catalog. Stay Gold anniversary slip, Pillar Gum pack as well as a couple miscellaneous colorways. Will say though that the FA21 line has a lot more offerings from new models to inline colorways as well as vegan options.

FYI, both of those Spanky cup slips and Spanky G6 come with a new zine Spanky designed just for that drop that turned out really rad.

The Stay Gold DVD book never came with the slip ons. It was sold separately but unfortunately, we sold out of them the first day. The Secret Tape has them on their website though still I believe.

Nope, we have a ton of great new colorways of both dropping over the next several seasons including that Gamma G6. There's even a new colorway of the Tilt that just dropped as well.

Those were the last remaining photo books from the original production run. Been sitting on those for some time now and figured that would be the best way to let them go.

I spoke too soon! They emailed today and said it was and inventory system error. Ughh. Vans needs to come through and just reissue the first color ways and stop with these ugly earth tones and corduroy. Maybe I can DM Robert Neal and get a deal on some stockx quasis

I like how 99% of shoe/entertainment collaborations feature ugly all over print designs and/or logos on the foxing tape. The recent Simpsons Vans collaboration switched things up a little but even that featured some clunkers similar to what I just described.

Are designers that unimaginative? Why couldn’t these Spongebob shoes be, say, three main panels: one part yellow for the sponge, one part white for his shirt, one part brown for his pants, and maybe some red details for his tie. How fucking hard is that? I came up with that while taking a shit.

Well, they're also designing them to be desirable to people who like Spongebob Squarepants, so that's worth keeping in mind.

They could have just done the NHS collab route and just used stock art assets. They tried. With these collabs, you got to remember. that WE ARE NOT THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE. I think this is an adequate approximation of what a non-skater thinks skateboard art is through the lens of spongebob.
