A couple more Shanahan's coming out, 1 for each month of August, September, and October. After that not too sure, I've seen some more Truth colorways that haven't released yet on Kalis' stories.

Not saying you’re wrong.
But the toe looks more like the Lucas Premier (?) cupsole model than the newer Indoor, which the side/back look exactly like.
Hybrid new model? Or the Indoor just looks very different on foot than the ecom photos??

Edit: Indoor ecom photos make the toe look round and stubby, where these look a little pointier imho

Did you have leather ones or suede ones? Curious if the leather ones are a little more stiff, because I came to the same conclusion as you after ten mins on the suede model; too light and flexy for me to put any serious miles on them. Great looking shoe, but I much prefer the “outdoor” Puig for skateboarding.

I’m pretty sure Lucas has talked about skating without insoles before so I’m not surprised that a vulc version of his shoe would be essentially nothing.

yeah I've seen some red/white and black/white shanahans on his and the dc skateboarding ig pages. not too big a fan of them but if I see the red/white ones in person my opinion might change. hopefully the lynx colorways are good. another truth this year would be dope, the red/charcoal ones I've seen on kalis's stories look so good

I don't have anything specific on that.  My best guess is, just from being around so long is that it varies from company to company.  I'm sure enough time had passed that Vans reached out to Mike and he was cool with it, but then another company might just make a shoe and not even reach out just because they don't care.  I'm trying to think of a good example of that but can't, but it's for sure happened in the past.  I remember working at Fallen and Cole had the RIPPER pro model, when he left for DC they put the same exact shoe out without his name on it and it became the CLIPPER hahaha.  Not exactly what you're talking about but still funny.

It's not a full remake, but close enough that it could pass as a remake.

Similar to how the Evant is a close copy to the K3, but not the K3.

Most of those Pro Shoes can just be re-released without the Rider name since basically none of them own the Patent for the design. Kinda like how Adidas still does the Kobe line of shoes but calls them “Crazy” instead.
If any skater owns the patent for their Pro-shoe then they played it smart.
I think most the brands don’t straight up re-release some popular Pro shoes in fear of backlash from the ex-rider. Like if DC would now just release the Howard’s with no consent and then he would put them on blast on IG, would be a bad look for DC.

They’re giving rock wall climbing, but I kinda dig them.  Weird but smart for Element to change up the logo.   Felt that held them and Habitat back as neither deck brand logo felt like a shoe logo (you need diagonal/forward lines to give the feel of motion!)

I was gonna say as a skate oriented shoe I could care less but if they’re like a hiking/ chiller they’re really nice. If they just did a line modifying classic court styles like this for a more outdoor use they could actually sell really well.
