And your feet never slide front to back or side to side, due to the contouring all the way down the footbed. And partly yeah the lack of fabric top (your socks handle that bit fine).

for everyone? no... innovative? actually the BEST insole I've ever skated, hopefully I've stockpiled enough of these to retire on.

I wonder if there is some legal reason for Adidas wording it like that, because each shoe has his initials on the upper heel. Have there been any colorways without the MG in cursive and the Shmoo on the tongue?

The foxing tape on the Muska Brand Skytops looks so fucking high. The OG Skytops were a much more traditional vulcanised wrapped sole.

Which is strange when Straye advertise some of their chucks as having extra high foxing tape and their skytop looks much more reasonable.
Also I had two pairs of Straye Chuck Taylor ripoffs and they were the worst suede ever. One pair I didn't even skate in and had the suede tear right along where it connected to the sole/tape. They looked good and were comfortable but seemed cheap as shit. They were also on sale for £20 so whatever. Hopefully they have stepped their quality up because I want some Skytops that aren't $400.

It might be because it's a slight reworking of a fencing shoe that they had for forever that Mark just liked and used in an art exhibit. Or they reached the amount of promised pro models in his contract and couldn't strike and an extension for another "official" pro model for a shoe they already were reproducing so they offered a licensing / continued endorsement deal.

They do look sick. And the fact that it's basically Gonz and Gustav only that love them? That's almost all it takes to sell me on a shoe.
