RIP Young Dolph 🙏

Real bummed on this. Was an immediate fan when I discovered him in 2012 or 2013, a little before High Class Street Music 3 dropped. His sonic progression was impressive to watch, you could tell he worked hard. Long live Dolph.

I remember streaming Dolph's set when he was performing at Rolling Loud Miami this past summer. Shit was hype as hell.

Damn, that youtube link has some great stuff--thanks for the link.

yall fuck with this kind of rap? i liked that new earl and i fuck with almost everything freddie gibbs puts out (bandana was my fav album of 2019) but most of the "real hip hop" that comes out these days is boring as fuck, i've heard all of that shit back in 2012. this guy yeat is a rapper that blew up on tiktok but whatever, i like some of his stuff a lot. his lyrics are dumb as fuck sometimes but that doesn't really bother me, i like the sound

also i just recently found out that sage has quite a catalog and some of his stuff is really good, which is very surprising for a skater turned rapper

this new peggy album is also nice, it's no veteran though

fuck carti was in poland a few months before die lit came out but i couldn't go, still mad about that but fuck it, at least i got to see young thug and vince staples a few months later that year. carti was also supposed to come to a festival in my city last year but the whole thing got cancelled bc of covid.

btw before thugger came on scene he had some other 2 or 3 guys there to hype up the crowd. one of them was acting all funny and after a while i couldn't fucking listen to that dude anymore, especially because thugger was a lil late to the show and that dude just kept on saying shit for what felt like a couple hours, it was hot as fuck and i couldn't leave because i had a good spot so it made me a little angry. fast forward a few hours after the show i was sitting around with some friends, high and drunk as fuck and i see the dude walking by with two chicks. i started yelling "you're a no name" at him because he was acting all hard before thug's show and nobody really recognized him. he looked at me and didn't seem to care but one of the girls ran up to me, tried to slap me at first and then said "what you mean no name, he knows young thug" and ran back to him. my friend later told me that was lil duke who you might recognize for being a recurring feature on thug's songs since forever. never had a solo hit so i wasn't really wrong though lol

Watched the latest Nardwuar vs J Cole interview where they discuss this Allen Iverson track, supposedly he was due to put out a full album but it was shelved because his lyrics were way too wild lol the beat is actually really sick

I think I might like this album more than Mr. Bastard's debut.
