Looks like each truck weighs nearly an ounce more than the classic. Ace says on their website the AF1 33 weighs 13.5 ounces vs the classic weighing 12.8 according to the video Skate Warehouse made a few years ago.

I love ace but....damn ace congrats, you made an Indy. Also few things. The weight of an 8.5 Indy according to tactics  is 394 grams =13.898 ounces. Anyone got the weight on the new 55?

Also on aces website it says classics are 53mm tall not 52mm. So if the new one is 53mm it’s the same.l height as classic that’s a positive.

Here it says 400g: https://www.bonkers-shop.com/product/skateboarding/trucks/ace-trucks-af1-55-truck-polished/

And Indys at 398g: https://www.bonkers-shop.com/product/skateboarding/trucks/independent-stage-11-standard-149-trucks/

I will report back guys.  I didn't skate the Classic's after the V2's, because once I put normal axle nuts on them, they were fine for me.

I'm about a few bad slams away from going full cyclist, or full cruiser and quitting clicking my tail at 37.  My boss at work (who is not NOT hot) wants a clip when I get back after quarantining, so I'll be trying to put in some work and get a feel for these.

Heavier than the classics and slightly wider hangers.

AF1s
66s:
• Axle width: 9” (229mm)
• Hanger width: 6.4” (163mm)
• Truck height: 2.1” (53mm)
• Fits boards: 8.75” - 9.25”
• Weight: 14.5 oz 411g

Classic 55s are 162mm hangers and 407g

AF1 55s:

• Axle width: 8.5” (215mm)
• Hanger width: 5.8” (149mm)
• Truck height: 2.1” (53mm)
• Fits boards: 8.3” - 8.75”
• Weight: 14 oz 397g

Classic 44s are 146mm hanger and 390g

Is it really true they extended the wheelbase? Just ordered a pair but not sure if I'll keep them if they're just Ace's Indy Mid.

We have one user report saying so.....

Also look at the comparison photo a few pages back. It certainly seems that way from the photo too.

I'm pretty pissed about it.... If true..... And so far it seems like it's true. Who knows......

Well, damn I'm not too happy about that. I'll check next week when I get these myself.

Lots of strong opinions on some trucks no one here has skated, or even held in their hand, yet  ::)

People freaking out about the wheelbase, fucking hilarious. The hanger is wonky in that pic, it’s not straight on so it pushed the one side up.

just got my 55's from my local shop civil, they sit a few mm's back from my indy 149's with the cast baseplate. They seem a bit lighter than the classic 44's and a tad bit heavier than my indys. weathers crappy today so I'll skate them hopefully tomorrow to see how the improvements are.

That’s because this is basically the same truck we’ve already been skating?
In the BEST case scenario: the only difference is that the trucks last longer. That’s it. There’s nothing special about this truck compared to the classic (unless they ruined the wheelbase) which is I why I feel it’s reasonable to disappointed by $15 more dollars for extra weight on the truck, Same excessively long press fitted kingpins, no hollow options, no dlk baseplate etc etc......

Maybe I had my expectations too high in the first place.

Maybe. Maybe not. They sure are ducking that question on the gram. No one from ace addressed it and it has been asked a few times

I was about to pull the trigger on the official Ace site, but now all the talk about wheelbase got me nervous. I just want better Classics. Otherwise why not just buy Classics?

The Gold 33's, though... Still tempted.

I was gonna say. I dont think this is the best test, the best is an actual measurement on the same board, but that does look like a slight difference...

I have two dlx 8.25's I could put the trucks on and measure the wheelbase to see they precise difference
