Home Depot has it, you just have to ask an attendant and they mix it for you. the clear stuff they use is usually in the same aisle as the premixed browns, but you need to track down a vest to get it made.

i've done this like a year ago... it was made of an old used deck. I just used a hand saw to make a coffin shape, painted that graphic and put new grip.
i think it came out pretty good... 
now i just need some trucks and big wheels... these are from my normal set up!

and heres my latest. Made it referencing a post from Chris Fairbank's instagram that already kinda had the look of something I would make.

was gonna sell it on my site, but Mr. Fairbanks has already made claim for it.

haha i always knew clear coat after paint, but it just seemed like the paint spraypaint would sit right on bare wood, i was almost going to clearcoat,paint, then clear coat again.
