Regarding the media, I am sure you have seen or at least know about the movie Network? That was 76’. Besides the conventions of the times, the film was pretty much spot on with all the problems with corporate media.

As a result there is not one media source that can be trusted. Little off topic but if you want to post or PM some global news sources I would be most appreciative. I read The Hill for US political coverage as it seems to be the least biased, but I am at a loss for global news.

Don't know who'd do it out of McDonald's, burger king, Domino's or pizza hut maybe some kind of collab but a cheeseburger the size of a pizza that comes in a pizza box and is cut into triangles and you take a segment out like a pizza.  Fuck this has prob already been done and is a normal thing in America right

Saying "Your kickflip is rocket" makes more sense than "mobbed." Why would I wanna sound like Greco while he's neck deep in an identity crisis?

Is it valid to be genuinely neutral on embattled social issues?  Or is this some sort of cop out… a refusal to fully engage?

Is there such thing as total neutrality?  If in my waking, conscious mind, I feel completely neutral on a topic, is there still a faint voice somewhere in the recesses of my mind that has an opinion that I can’t (or won’t) hear?

Is there a difference between literally not caring one way or another versus weighing the pros and cons, seeing the merits of both sides but concluding that they perfectly cancel each other out?

What would the world be like if no one had any opinions?  What would that look like?

Is one’s neutrality on a topic de facto supporting whatever is the majority opinion?  For example, if I were to be completely neutral when it comes to gun control -literally don’t care if no one had them or if everyone had 8 guns strapped under their trench coats like Neo in the Matrix, and I live in a country that is obsessed with private firearm ownership, will my indifference and resulting inaction contribute to no change in the current regulations be sort of an accidental, unintentional support of them?

why in the fuck at this point do the people in charge let Joe Biden speak publicly?

as funny as it is to hear him trail off about F-15s and cannons and shit, his mumbling, incoherent, meandering inanities are just making what is supposed to pass for "the left" sound pitiful and desperate...fucking November is about to be a fucking shitshow...

Do you think that there will be some big revelations about the extent of his mental and physical deterioration after his presidency a la FDR’s paralysis or Ronald Regan’s Alzheimer’s?

There seems to be a very similar thing happening with Diane Feinstein being largely kept hidden away because of her rumored dementia.

It’s obviously sad when anyone becomes demented with old age, but at the same time it doesn’t seem fair to their constituents to have a severely compromised person as their representative.

"some big revelations about the extent of his mental and physical deterioration"?

maybe for people who don't actually listen to him right now, but anyone who is, knows their watching and listening to an old ass white man who's barely breathing.

there's nothing "sad" about it--Biden is just as much an enemy to me, my family, my friends, and my neighbors as Trump is

seriously, what is this fatuousness supposed to be conveying?

Yeah, I’m with you, I absolutely hate him as well and that fascist dictator speech and the setting was beyond awful.  So I guess your answer was a “yes” just worded in a nasty way for some reason.

I was thinking how in the same way not everyone can manage a physical crisis, not everyone can manage an emotional crisis either. I got invited to a bbq this weekend by some people who havent talked to me in like two years, since i broke up with my ex. Recently I posted a couple things on social media where im having a good time, and suddenly i get these people coming out of the woodwork to hang out. I feel a little bitter that these friends didnt reach out when they knew i was going through hard times, but then i realized maybe their reaction to depression isnt something they can control, in the same way some people see blood and can't deal with it. I don't know if it makes me want to hang out with them, but I feel better thinking their lack of sympathy might not be personal.

Science is going to kick death from aging right in the balls some day. With a little help from the genetics of lobsters and jellyfish, and gene editing with CRISPR, this future is foreseeable. We’ll all be dead first though.

You could say the exact opposite: we are all going to die, so choose wisely what you put your time into.

Why is it that whenever someone who believes in reincarnation and talks about their past lives, they’re always something cool?

For the lives lived over the past 10,000 years, there’s like a 98% chance you were just a poor farmer just like the rest of us dumb fucks.

Why are we ticklish?  Is there some evolutionary advantage to it or did it sort of unintentionally sneak in there through the back door?

And why is it both (in varying degrees) amusing and uncomfortable at the same time?  What else will make you laugh uncontrollably while simultaneously begging for it to end?  Sounds like my honeymoon.

Are other animals ticklish?  Pretty sure I’ve seen monkeys getting tickled (my mom said I’m not allowed to visit those websites anymore  :()… but are dogs ticklish?  I don’t think they are but maybe I’m wrong.  No way a seahorse is though.  I’d bet my whole paycheck on that.

Actually very nearly impossible for extraterrestrials to make contact any other way. The vast distances of space are hostile to mortal beings. In all likelihood the vanguard of the aliens would be machines just like what we do with our rovers except a lot more sophisticated if they can make it all the way over here. Who knows if their society survives long enough to see them in the flesh.

i was in SF today and saw a pimped gen 6 civic hatch with a beaded PR flag on the mirror. felt like i was back in providence

Hell yeah. No place like home. I went out got a bunch of yellow rice and beef today. Ate it at the ledge.

I been watching Dale videos of this heroin egg kid. Mids.
Then Chris Chan came on.

I pondered

If we ever made contact, how long do you think it would take us to get bored with them?  Sure we’d all have our minds hella blown at first but eventually we’ll be like “Great, another lecture about space litter from Zif-Lon 0.03019 of Crab Nebula Quadrant Theta…”

It would be cool if Aus changed the state names of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria but I don't know what to. First thoughts are probably to something aboriginal but the state lines are just made up and I don't think Aboriginal people had names for areas of land that big.
A flag without the union jack would be cool too but they'd probably fuck it up and do some awful design. I just want the bottom left corner to be the whole flag. Just blue with a white star in the middle. Maybe they can change the star to gold and the background to dark green or whatever combo of those.
