The Adapt insoles and ones without as bulky of rearfoot have some flex to em. I would never run the normal Green/Orange, etc for skate shoes except for stuff like Vans vulcs which could benefit from the structure.
I tried my FP insoles recently and finally binned them. They don't provide any mid or rear foot support, which is what actually gives me sore ankles, knees, and feet. Same 440s with both insoles and the FP noticeably diminish the forefoot flex of the shoe and board feel.
I think Joey was smart to use the bowling ball to demonstrate impact, but unfortunately a single object structure doesn't necessarily behave as a complex system like the lower limbs do which is probably why no other company for any other sport has used similar foam or materials.
I did like the FP in Vans though. Can't explain that.
