I received my element flatbar yesterday and the locking pins for the adjustable legs were missing. So it's 50% of a really low flatbar for now. Contacted customer service but no response yet.

The same thing happened to me. No luck with customer service, either

Yeah same here, the box was shredded and no pins.  I went to Home Depot and got some 3/8 x 2” bolts, washers and nuts and dropped some removable locktite on there.

Skated it for like an hour, pretty stoked on the thing, nothing to skate by my apartment and in winter it’ll make parking ramps more fun, so this could really help me to get out more

I've got two skate rails, and dragging them out to the winter parking garage session is always a blast. On the right day, there'll be dozens of skaters with their various homemade and purchased obstacles down there breathing the moldy piss and it's definitely better than any indoor park in town.

Yeah I saw it all over Facebook last week as well. I had a round rail in my cart when the sale was first announced and it disappeared pretty quick.

Vans had the discount store liquidation a month ago and now the online sale.

I imagine the vans outlet stores must be about to pop soon. I remember a few years ago they had the whole store, buy one get one free.

They've got buy one get one 70% off at a few around me.
I think it's just shoes but didn't actually check.

They've also got a smaller $29.99 and under section that's kind of newer too.
Enjoy your life.

I was at my local outlet and there wasn't anything mindblowing, nothing in my size from the skate line but a lot of good stuff (even vault) in smaller sizes.

German Nieves had a trick in the FTC video so I decided to check out his web store. He’s got some really nice gear and skateboards that he is liquidating. Maybe he is getting out of the business.

Check it out…

If it matters, German is nice guy.

Has Paterson just been a tennis themed skate brand? I thought it was a tennis company that dabbled in skating for marketing

man, that is a lot of stuff on deep clearance. i kinda feel bad for german. i never bought anything, but i always thought paterson was pretty cool. more proof that trying to have a brand in skateboarding is a completely futile endeavor. totally copping some $13.75 decks though.

German started it as a skate brand with tennis style. I think he probably tried to generate two revenue streams. He grew up in Paterson, NJ which is a town over from Clifton (Bibby and Andy Bautista).

Whenever I went to Downtown NYC on the weekend he would be there. If you’re interested he did a Mission Statement:

I rode the 8.5 Ice Cream graphic deck, think it was the K9 shape with tapered kicks. Still, $14 you can't beat that.

Damn I feel bad cause I would have been down to support had I known the backstory to this company back then. I also just thought Paterson was a tennis brand lol. Honestly I never deep dived into their IG or anything just quick glances and figured they were just testing the skate waters. Damn shame it's come to this.

That Paterson sale is nuts. The designs are legitimately good too, so hopefully it’s not a closing up shop kind of  deal for German.

I just bought so much gear for $100.

Maybe he’s just clearing out dead stock. I don’t know. He can clearly do some cool design work so even if he has to move to a different industry I’m sure he’ll be fine.

My mom grew up in Paterson so I have a personal attachment to that name. Plus, Prince is short for Princeton, NJ where that tennis company started, so when he generated the idea I thought it made sense.

He does some cool stuff with Paterson too. He had a tennis tournament a few years back that was sick

I wanted a deck many moons back, but saw one at the Rink in JC and that shape was not it for me.

Sales still tempting though

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

Ordered a set of 147s for no reason at all, and got one 147 and one 149...

I guess that's what I get for buying more trucks that I don't need. C'mon tho, how the hell do you not notice two completely different sized trucks before boxing em up?

Shipping is 21$ no matter what I have . Idk if I want to buy enough gear to make it worth

Dude did a good job on marketing, maybe too good. I got targeted ads for the brand, which looked professional. I actually bought a tennis racket hat from a while a backed. I feel so confused and betrayed

Aren't there two Paterson brands? One is Patterson - the tennis one we know and then German's Paterson, which is a skat brand but also dabbled in tennis, incidentally?

Or am I making this up? I'm not sure, but I could have sworn there were two different brands either identical names

with no free shipping option, you're better off going with the element sale if you're trying to save $
