I pulled the trigger on the BOGO Straye’s. I noticed in the return policy if you use a promo code or buy a sale pair, no returns are accepted. So hopefully they fit and skate good as these are my first ones.

Yeah just as I predicted boardparadise just refunded me for the decks but apparently shipped the other shit that I only bought to get to the free shipping threshold. Didnt even have the balls to respond to me before they did it. Fuck those guys. I'm filing a BBB complaint and sending an email to their local govt office that handles pricing standards because this is bullshit. They're still selling the boards on their site and eBay and have plenty in stock so they're pretty much just straight up refusing to honor the price they advertised.

Avoid those scumbags and if they've done shit like this to you file a complaint - don't just let them get away with it.

Ya they shipped the one I bought through ebay the same day (34.99 shipped... Boom?). I've had it for a week. I ordered 2 more through their website about an hour after the first one, and those are the ones they're fucking around with. They had a 20% off and free shipping if you spent $100 so I did, and that was 2 weeks ago. When I asked about it they ignored me and marked it as "shipped" but the tracking number showed that usps still hadn't received the item.

I'm guessing that eBay has pretty strict rules about this sort of thing for retailers so they couldn't weasel out of that one. I'm sure if they could they would.

I didn't see those, but I picked up some 148 Sonoras for 9.99. They also had 148 Phoenix lights, 139 hollow indys and 8" Krux Noras all for 9.99

They were there yesterday but they probably went stupidly fast. Like within minutes. I got 3 pairs of the 148 Phoenix, some hardware, and 3 decks for like $130 total. My PayPal is still fucked up so when I saw they put more shit up I snuck out of work and bombed a hill that frankly terrifies me (no traffic on Sunday morning thank fuck, and they just paved it.. otherwise no chance I'd do it) to get a prepaid visa. Unfortunately by the time I got it and it was activated the 2 $20 real decks in my cart had been scooped up. Still got a blood wizard 8.38, one of those aluminati NHL decks, and some company called Meridian that had an 8.25 with 14.5wb that intrigued me.

I tried to get the 15.00 killing floor, but it wouldn't let me put it in my cart. I got a 29.99 Killing floor. so  I ended up with a new deck and a set of thunders for $50.

I think most of it has been bought already and the website is just not updating. I guess that's better than taking your money and not having the product to send. If you click on something and your quantity defaults to zero then it's gone already. Last I looked there was still a pair of Thunders for 9.99 each and a blood wizard shaped deck for 15.

So I'm sorry to tell you this but I think I bought the last 6 of the 148 Phoenix lights so I may have been the one that stole them out from under you. When these sales come up the trick is to find what you want, get to the $39.95 free shipping mark, and check out as fast as you can before someone else does. Then go back and do it again. I usually sort by lowest price and grab the best deals first since they go the fastest. I got sniped on 2 real decks, the Chima 8.25 and Ishod 8.18.

If you want, when I get my paypal sorted out I'll sell you a set of the Thunders for what I paid if you toss me like $5 for shipping. Hit up spacial profiling too, he got some good stuff from the last one and he might sell you some if you ask nicely. He's a really chill dude.

For the guy who said its BS, it's not. You just have to be fast. They update at like 8am and usually everything good is gone within the first half hour. The site takes a little bit to update to the "out of stock" message, but if you see a quantity other than zero listed then you can add it to your cart and get it as fast as you can before someone else (like me) does. Even though most of the really good deals are gone you there's still some decent deals even right now.

I skate at least an hour a day. I don't have a car and this is my transportation in addition to being a hobby. I shop while I'm at work so it's not cutting into my personal time. Whatever I can't use/don't like I donate to Trash to Thrash or hook up the local kids who can't afford new stuff. I sincerely believe that a lot of kids give up on skating because their only frame of reference is a shitty Walmart deck that doesn't roll, so if I get a chance to buy trucks for $10 and ensure those kids get to try a real skateboard out I'm going to do it.

I like variety and trying new things. Does it hamper my progression? Almost certainly. But I'm 34 and I'm not trying to film a video part. I have fun doing things the way I do, and isn't that the whole point?
