Hopefully they are not really cheap pricepoint wood, cause even out of BBS, there are significant differences between what would be called pro wood and the higher or lower pricepoint wood.

I know other brands like FA / Hockey have dipped boards on the pro wood through BBS, but dipped on quite a few woodshops used to always be on the cheaper wood, just to hide all the issues.

Curious to hear either way what they are like.

Email I got back said they were just the normal run and “wanted to do something cool”. My guess is prob the previous post about how they’re trying to get the boards on the streets. I’ve only seen one in the wild so they’re prob trying to get the brand out there

I just clicked the link and the sale is still on. The Wesley pants that you are talking about are $64 I think.
I have A couple pairs of the simple pants, which have the best taper or any pants I own, and they look similar to the Wesley’s. I’ll bet you can’t go wrong.
For the simples, I have a 32 that is tts, and a pair in 36 which are my baggy skate pair and they are my favorite skate pants. I got a Forrest green color.

I'm not sure on BBS wood, there top plys may have laser engravings but lack the BBS hologram. The red sticker also has "Made in China" on there.

Maybe not for all decks, but I've seen pro model decks (Westgate) with "Made in China" stickers.

Still a solid discount for boards, can't argue with $20 a piece.

Edit: I see the BUILT BY BBS in the product description, I picked up a Donny Barley commemorative deck and it had Made in China on the sticker.

i ended up getting a zwijsen / sascha / ethan loy board and tey all have the BBS laser engravings and all three have warning stickers that also say "made in mexico" on it.

do i win? shapes look pretty solid, one of them has a little longer of a nose which i ain't mad about

Good deal for BBS wood, regardless of what brand it is.

I had bought a lot of sale Element decks over the last while, more so with the view to repaint or strip anyway, which suits me fine, as they are the 8.38 and mainly 8.5 shapes I like with 14.5 wb and good long kicks.

When I started to see some were now coming from elsewhere, eg China, I stopped buying them unless I knew exactly what they were though.  They also changed up shapes and dimensions in a weird way too, nothing straight forward like it used to be, but as long as they are about the same size and feel like boards should feel, then it is a really good deal.
