I think that because one time Element fucked my brother big time. He got the section one and that thing was the shape and feel of a walmart board and broke in a day. I don't mean him specifically but i'd guess it happened to enough people that they need to let you know which ones are the good ones

There are still people who swear never to ride another Element board in their life because of those cheaper pricepoint boards that every shop had an excess of at some point through the mid to late 2000s.

Happy to say that things looked up considerably with not using budget / pricepoint wood and getting good woodshop boards, which hold up well, but things can still be a bit of an unknown for some, more so team / generic graphics, I think.

That's me. I'm looking at a Jaako board and afraid to bite the bullet.

I ordered two decks earlier last week and as of this morning, received no shipping notification. I looked at the confirmation email earlier and it said due to site maintenance, orders won't be shipping out for two weeks. Hopefully that helps if you're on the fence. I do like the 8.38 shape and have skated three in a row that I got on sale previously fwiw.

I bought a couple pairs of skate shoes for 2 friend's bdays couple years ago and got exactly what I ordered in a reasonable enough amount of time. They're legit last I checked, but selection/sizing is all over the place

I ended up getting a few pairs since I felt the prices were right. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences to verify that they are legitimate. I think it is actually a good thing that their sizes are hit or miss. The sketchiest sites I find have all sizes and all colorways available. I'm talking shoe nerd heaven with all the classics from the 2000's that are almost impossible to find. As that saying goes, "if it is too good to be true, it probably is."
