I noticed softgoods getting deep discounts while hardgoods rarely went above 20% off. Are the profits margins higher on shoes and clothes?
Markup is WAY higher on clothing. That's why every random bolt/riser pad company is actually just a clothing company. You aren't making any money with a 15% profit on bolts, you make money at 50% markup on t shirts and hoodies.
Also, boards went from $60 to $80 over the past couple years and everyone noticed, meanwhile hoodies are $80-110 now and no one's really said anything. A t shirt blank costs $2-5, sweatshirt blank costs $10-15 dollars
