all ben simmons had to do was put in effort for a few months. The sixers would have an easier time trading him and he could salvage SOME of his value. But nah here we are. Can't wait to be at that sixers home opener, that place is gonna be electric

That being said the games last night ruled and it's great to have the NBA back

i suppose he could be trying to devalue himself on purpose. wouldn't that be a smart thing to do? now people are saying instead of getting a damian lillard philly would get a cj instead. wouldn't you rather be playing with a damian lillard instead of getting traded for him? might work out in his favor is he's got ring fever right now.

i just dont see how this is the play. Like youre hurting yourself and the organization. Is it worth sticking it to an organization you hate if it hurts you just as bad, if not worse. I fully expect him to get suspended again and not appear at the home opener

To be fair, we're talkin about this same guy.

don't think he knows what he's doing in any capacity.  to me it feels more like an aaron rodgers scenario than a james harden one. in either case, i think the dude hasn't proved himself enough to be making moves like this.

i think sixers finna tear shit up. you havent heard
anything about the rest of the team and i feel like running a traditional pg and having tobias get
the ball more might actually be a positive.

Agreed. I don't see him actually playing. He seems like he's trying to take the whole superstar empowerment thing to its absolute limit. Problem is that most people don't see him as a superstar or seem eager to get him on their team

Definitely not like the Rodgers or Harden situation as Simmons pales in comparison to their respective careers… i think we might see more of players asking out 1-2 years into their deals though. His agent has to be buggin out…

Embiid is entering his prime and it I’m sure it’s bringing distractions to the team. I’d play him and see what you can get at the trade deadline. Even if little return, at least you get his deal off the books.

The rockets looked abysmal holy shit…but I’m gonna trust the process.

Evan Mobley looked pretty good though. Very hyped basketball is back. NFL, NBA, October baseball… best time of the year.

Of course, just funny imagining him waltz into practice, “…..hey guys” even though they’ve basically moved on.

Work your ass off all off season only to be asked about a guy that isn’t even worth answering about. Gotta love sports media lol

Clippers mavs games are always great. Got to see dirk live like in '14 and it was so worth it. Staples is also just a great venue with no bad seats. Even the nose bleeds are great

Don’t get me wrong, I really hope they can make it work. But Im having nightmares about the Mavs wasting this unique chance they have with Luka on Porzingis (assuming he doesn’t improve radically). It’d be such a shame.

Fortunately they've got infamously easy to play under and stable Jason kidd at the helm
