RIP Bill Russell

More rings than fingers. One of the greatest to ever do it

Rest in power

All this MJ vs LBJ talk and Bill Russell blows both out of the water.

MJ is 2nd in the goat conversation because of Bill Russell.

It’s the weird thing of only guards/sf are allowed in the GOAT category.   Otherwise they’d have to talk about Russell, Walt, and Kareem.    Shaq is in there too, but I wonder if post-Heat ring Shaq dilutes young Shaq in terms of a dominant career

Fair Question - where does Duncan fit?   I’ve never seen Russell play and I’d almost like to put him in a pre-merger list since that NBA experience is apples to oranges to modern NBA (late 70s - present).   I could be talked into putting Duncan in his slot in that case or am i overrating a perennially underrated talent?

Has to be the most non surprising injury in the NBA…maybe ever ha. At The pace he runs the court and his size. Seen it with Yao his feet are toast. Sucks i was kind of looking forward to seeing him hoop vs actual NBA competition…

They boosted their chances in the wemby sweepstakes, but maybe they’re rethinking taking 7ft lanky stretch 5s

I wish we could have kept shai when we traded for pg  :'(

Who could have seen it coming that the most fragile looking of the top 3 in this draft might have some durability concerns. Like a little kid with progeria cracking all his ribs trying to catch a nerf ball. Just sad...

Can't wait to see the bkln situation develop. How much dumber and untenable can it get? Will Ben Simmons ever play basketball again? How will kyrie continue to drive his value lower with his antics and knavish behavior? How will the team try and reassemble itself after the two stars trashed their coach and front office, failed to jump ship, alienated their third star and traded him for an even less certain star, and now have to show some leadership (lol) in bringing this team together? They're finals bound for sure
