He came on my radar after winning Munster Street as a 16 year old, then after watching a Visual sound, I could see his unique style and technique and I`ve been a fan ever since. Here`s some random clips of him cruising round China looking like the 5th Beetle

I drive by that miniscule bump to ledge (back 50/50 & crooked grind)/stair ride combo from Art Bars all the time & it's literally fucking unbelievable when you see it.

It's footage like that that makes me say "So fucking what?" every time I see a clean ride-away from Shane O'Neil or any Nike rider.

Ethan Fowler is seriously criminally underrated one of the all time greats in terms of stylebut doesnt get that much recognition because doesnt like being in the spotlight. He had a couple of tricks in his epicly laterd that were really sick.

If either stereo or foundation gave him a board again it would be the best seller.

I also wish green and wood was still a band.

Can you take some pictures of that from another angle if you get a chance?  I was obsessed with that for a while.

A new Foundation Ethan board for sale would be a beautiful thing.

Next time I go out there I'll take some pictures, it's even more impressive in person. The ledge has to be about 4 feet high & the incline is maybe a 5-10° angle, which makes the b/s 50 absolutely fucked. It's at the same school as his 1st line (f/s noseblunt, kickflip nose manual, f/s flip) as the White Stripes song comes on in Art Bars.

I never realized that and that’s one of my favorite skate videos ever.  I wish they had rough cuts back then like thrasher puts out now.

I followed him on Instagram last year but he doesn't post much. This was the last upload of him skating, but it kinda implies he was picking skating back up. It's pretty old apparently though.

That huge crooked grind he does where he lands on those steps in Art Bars is the best thing I've ever seen anybody do with a skateboard.

I've been to that spot in person and not only is it huge, but I also saw Ethan IRL when I lived in SF in 2007. He's probably like 5'5" so that just makes the crook that much sicker!

I always wanted to see a black label team with Fowler on it. But it’s too late now.

For sure one of the greatest ever.  As good as Koston in my mind.

Deluxe has no issues with him. Ive heard TG state he is one of his favourites too.
I got to help out on KOTR in Denver & we picked Ethan up from the hotel. What a ripper. And not remotely & asshole.  That era of tum yeto was great. Beagle knew how to put a team together so well. & they all knew how to have a blast. At the park he skated with the delux guts more than his own crew. You could tell there was mutual respect & lots of old good memories.

As good as Koston? Let's not get carried away. Ethan did some great tricks over his career but I'm willing to guess he couldn't of done half of the tricks in any of Koston's parts.

Good style and trick selection- yes. As good as Koston- not even in the same league.

Just chiming into to confirm that his Providence krooked grind in Art Bars is absolutely insane. BMXer’s can barely hit that spot. First time I saw it in person I felt like that little kid who watched JWray ollie that huge gap in utter disbelief.

That's too funny, it's actually in Providence, RI...

Next time I go out there I will get a good picture of the "bump".

Shark Tits & the Dirtnek were actually the 1st person to take me here, ironically seeing everyone's favorite East Coast podcast genius at the benches...
